We needed care for someone at short notice and thankfully The Grove Residential Care Home had space. There was no hesitation when I asked to view The Grove at equally short notice and following the manager's thorough explanation regarding its operation we did not hesitate to arrange for our friend to
move in. The staff have been great, the food looks lovely and our friend settled in really well, which I put down to the care and attention that the staff have shown him. It is very comfortable and in the summertime, he will enjoy getting out into the nice gardens. His room is nice but quite basic so it only scores 4, but it does have, like many of the rooms, a nice view. I have only scored 4 for management due to delays in getting paperwork through but that is now resolved. From a day-to-day basis, The Grove appears well managed, with welcoming staff and we are very happy with the care our friend is receiving. They even had him making cakes.

Mum's care has always been excellent but there has been a huge improvement in attention to detail and paperwork quality under the new manager. The staff are always caring and attentive, although there are times when they could do with an extra member of staff during the day. There are now a lot more
activities for the residents to enjoy and this seems to have lifted morale still further. The reason we chose The Grove was 1) recommendation by a number of health professionals and 2) because they only allow a small number of selected residents, ensuring the quality of care. I would strongly recommend The Grove to anyone considering placing a relative in a care home.

I have noticed a big improvement at The Grove Residential Care Home over the last few months. The residents seem happy and well cared for, the food always looks lovely and even cakes baked every day for them. The owners and staff will go out of their way to help and my mum seems really happy! We as
a family are always made to feel welcome and provided with refreshments to have with mum. The home looks lovely and clean also. I feel everyone is working hard to put right what was found to be wrong by CQC.
