St John's Care Home is situated in the quiet market town of Spalding. The home has spacious dining rooms, lounges and a mature garden. The care home has a warm, friendly atmosphere with a dedicated team of care staff.

Chef Managers cook a variety of nutritious and tasty meals to provide residents with appealing daily menus which are updated regularly. Special dietary requirements are catered for.

Residents are encouraged and supported by the well-being and activities champions to continue to enjoy their interests and hobbies. From gardening and flower arranging to arts, crafts and games there is always something for residents to join in with should they wish to.

Residents benefit from a lively social life at the home with weekly exercise sessions, regular outings and entertainment. Arrangements can be made for residents to be visited regularly by a hairdresser and chiropodist. The home enjoys strong ties with the local community, with regular visits from church groups and pupils from the local primary school.

I have only visited on two short occasions so I have said mainly good at the present time. In particular, all the staff are very welcoming and friendly both towards residents and visitors. The way in which I have heard them chatting to residents they appear very kind, caring and respectful of their
wishes. I am fully aware that at times it must be a difficult job. That said my aunt seems happy, content and well cared for.

This is the fourth time my husband has been into St Johns for respite, ranging from 3 - 8 days. The staff all now know him and make him feel very welcome and he seems very happy with the attention he gets.
He has had the same room each time, which I think makes him feel more at home. I really do wish
that St John's was able to provide daycare for my husband on odd occasions so as to keep the momentum going between respite stays.

My grandfather has great care. There are lots of activities organised, i.e. gardening, games and baking, which he really enjoys.
The staff are always friendly and full of information about his care and needs.

My sister has only been at St John's since the 23rd June 2018 but has settled well, mainly due to the staff and management making her welcome. They are all extremely friendly and caring to residents and visitors. The manager was extremely helpful when we were having difficulties transferring my sister
from hospital to the home. We have been very impressed with everyone involved in my sister's care.

Very happy with all aspects of mum's care. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff and management. Huge thanks to everyone. Mum is extremely happy and all staff work extremely hard to make sure she is comfortable at all times.

Mum always seems to be well cared for. Staff always friendly and polite. Reception very friendly and welcoming. Room always clean and tidy. When we visit there is always regular checks on Mum. Not somewhere I ever envisioned Mum, but its good to know she is in good hands.

Since the Activities person left, the residents are just sitting about and are bored doing nothing. It seems a shame as he kept them active with different games and little jobs in the garden.

I am very pleased with everything that has been happening while my dad has been in care. All the staff are brilliant with my dad. Nothing is too much for the carers and staff to help Dad.

Mum is well looked after, staff very pleasant. Meals are OK, Mum is 95 and has a good appetite. The new cafe area etc has been created and looks really lovely.
More activities now than there used to be.
Three activity coordinators now, good.

Natalie is very passionate and caring towards the residents in her care and their families.
