In addition to the popular dining rooms, residents can also enjoy mealtimes in the outdoor spaces on sunny days. The catering team prides itself on making mealtimes something to look forward to each day, providing an enjoyable experience for all residents and their loved ones.

By getting to know each individual resident at The Gardens, the team pride themselves on offering an engaging and varied lifestyle for all residents. My mother was moved to this care home, The Gardens, Boston in May 2017. She settled in quickly and was made comfortable by the staff who are friendly, kind and caring. My Mother has not made any complaints and we consider that everything appears to be satisfactory. This is a great comfort to me, her
daughter, knowing that she is being properly cared for.

I think this a very family orientated home. I think they support the residents and the families and it brings such a wonderful atmosphere and time. Grounds are lovely. I do recommend to other people as so good. The events and parties are great.

I feel it is a well-run home, service users are treated with respect. The home is kept clean and free from smells. The food is good and plentiful. Most staff are caring. I think new staff are somtimes young and unaware of older people's needs ie the need to go to the toilet quickly, or being left on
the toilet too long. These issues have been rectified quickly by management.

On behalf of my wife and I - this is a new experience of having my cousin in a care home with such a compassionate atmosphere (we have just moved my cousin from a smaller care home where she was unhappy). The warm welcome we received was amazing. The manager and all the staff were fantastic and went
out of their way to ensure my cousin felt 'at home'. Although early days, we feel confident that The Gardens will provide the environment we've been searching for - compassionate, caring and purposeful - well done to everybody responsible for such a great job!

Staff are friendly and caring.
The home is clean and spacious in the dayrooms.
The food is varied and there is a choice for breakfast, dinner and teatime, the snack box in the lounge is a nice touch.
A regular entertainment programme, bingo appears to be popular with residents.
On the list to have
an en-suite bedroom for mother as she can access and use w.c. on her own.

My mum has been at The Gardens, Boston, Lincs since January 2016. Her care has been excellent all the time and she could not have gone anywhere better.
The staff are always polite and supportive as it is very emotional time seeing your loved ones decline.
All her needs have been met at all times.
She has always been treated with dignity and respect.

This care home has always had a good name. That is why I wanted my mum in The Gardens. The care workers are true carers. They always have time to talk to them. There is always a good connection. The rooms are always clean and tidy and the whole place does not smell.


The food is as good as an hotel

(they are lucky). Mum always seems happy there. My mum lived at my home and I felt guilty when she had to go into a home, but now I feel she's in the best place. I go to see her 4-5 days a week and just sit with her.

Victoria Barty

Job Title: Home Manager

“Kind care to me means being respectful to others at all times, treating each and every Resident as an individual and giving them choices in each aspect of their life.”


As a dedicated healthcare professional, Victoria has gained a wealth of experience in providing care to elderly people to help enrich their lives, leading to her progression as Home Manager. She has enjoyed a successful career in the care industry so far, gaining an NVQ Level 4 in healthcare, as well as a Registered Manager’s Award.


Victoria closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that means they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoyed most about her role, Victoria remarked: “My favourite part of working at HC-One is spending time with such a kind, caring team to ensure that Residents are cared for to the best of our ability.”


Victoria credits her biggest achievement to celebrating a fantastic 35 years of marriage.


Outside of work, Victoria enjoys gardening, playing card games and spending time with her pet cats.
