Covid restrictions have made visiting difficult at times but I've been kept informed about anything I needed to know about at all times.
I have experience of several homes and this is definitely the best by far.

It must be a daunting experience for any family to place an elderly parent in a home at any time. This has been particularly difficult during the Covid period with all its restrictions.
Nevertheless, we have proved that with an outstanding caring team and leadership, we have achieved on this and other occasions, a smooth transition into the life and culture of Nene Lodge.

There are lots of activities, Nan has her hair done, made friends and still has her cheeky humour. The procedures in place for visits during Covid have kept all residents safe and it's a real family environment. The staff are incredible and have been so close to my grandparents all my life, it's fantastic that can continue all due to Nene Lodge.

It is always a joy to receive a review that encapsulates our Home, staff and practice in these challenging times. We have tried our utmost to mitigate any loss of opportunities and communications during the restrictions placed upon us, by the prevailing regulations and carried on in different ways.
The staff have assumed new responsibilities, practised newly acquired skills, and multi-tasked our way through this pandemic period. You have mentioned a few of these in your review but as a team, we are extremely proud of our achievements and it proves that teamwork, determination and common sense can overcome many challenges.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of our service Sue and your appreciation of all we have done. We feel very privileged to have looked after your grandfather and likewise in our continued care of your grandmother. Gill, we shared your review with the staff and would like to reciprocate with our collective response. Firstly, we were overwhelmed by your touching remarks and insightful assessment of our care and facilities. To be given an opportunity to care for your mother was a privilege and later to care for your father was an honour indeed. We hope that we discharged our care to their satisfaction. The team has been together for many years and accumulated a lot of 'care miles' which has been the front and centre of our service. Your parents were a special couple, loving towards each other and endearing towards the staff. Dad's discourse on theosophical matters will live long in our memories. Gill, your constant support from afar was much appreciated and it was an affirmation of the work, dedication and untiring efforts of our team which has been exemplary over 3 decades. Finally, we thank you and wish you a fulfilling future with many happy memories of your parents.

Thank you for such a discerning review of our service. It is very gratifying to know that your comments have touched on every aspect of the service, and this will be conveyed to all the personnel in these areas. You mention the Manager/Owner relationship and it's impact on the wellbeing of the residents. This has been the bedrock of the service for many years as we are able to monitor the physical, mental and social status of our residents and evaluate their ongoing needs, first hand.
Our COVID protection plan has been successful because it has been a joint effort between the Home and the visitors, and as a result of the relationship we have fostered, they have respectfully observed and adhered to our protocols.
Once again we thank you for an informative and positive outlook of our Service.

Thank you so much for your delightful review. I think you have captured the very essence of our Home. Although Mum came to us at a very difficult time, I believe we managed, with the help of our team, the residents and their families to maintain adequate normality amid all the COVID restrictions. I think together we have retained the true spirit of Nene Lodge, and one day soon we will all get together and celebrate.
Thank you again for all your support, kind words and most of all the trust you put in us.
Mum was a joy to look after and we were honoured to be given that privilege.

To the family, we send our Best Wishes and gratitude for your kind words and appreciation. Mum was one of a kind and just fitted in our Home seamlessly from the outset. Even during the pandemic, there were no issues arising from the lack of family visits. She understood, as you all did, that the restrictions were necessary for the greater good. Her telephone conversations with you all were the joy of her life, given the visiting restrictions. Mum was very proud of her family and always shared her thoughts with us with fondness and pride. Thank you all for your understanding and compassion during these challenging times and for your support. We will miss our 'best mate' who we feel very privileged to have looked after.

May we express our thanks and gratitude to the Collins Family for their uplifting review of our service and their high regard for the Team.
In return, we would like to reciprocate that the family, always supportive of their father, were equally understanding of the difficult period of the pandemic that we have all experienced, and the restrictions imposed on us, especially with visitations, testing regimes and hospital appointments. In these circumstances, they were exemplary in all their undertakings and still maintained their connection with their Father.
We would also like to thank the family for their generosity on more than one occasion for treating the staff and residents to a fish and chip supper. These are moments in time that stand out and forever etched in our memories.
Finally, Father was an integral part of our Family at Nene Lodge and a popular figure amongst his peers - very attentive towards the others and a true gentleman.
