    These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
    utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and

    We currently have a welcome offer available for new residents funding their own care at Skirbeck Court. The offer includes free hairdresser/barber services, chiropody, daily newspaper of your choice and toiletry gift set on arrival.

    Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
    physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
    medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
    During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
    and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
    services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
    will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
    services at the time you request them.
    They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
    however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
    services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
    be paid for by yourself.

From arriving to leaving respite, Mum has been settled and very happy. Nothing was too much trouble. I had a relaxing holiday knowing Mum was happy.

I found the carers cheerful and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly. A lovely, happy atmosphere. Residents seem content. My first impression was there was no care home "smell"!. I feel my mother is really happy there and has become more social since being there.

My sister's days are well structured with set mealtimes in the dining room with nutritional and varied meals cooked on site. There are many organised activities - bingo, quizzes, church services, visiting vocalists, etc. The enclosed gardens give fresh air and a place to enjoy flowers, seating, vegetable
patch, birds and squirrels. Although small, rooms are clean with towels changed daily. There is a good laundry service. Above all, the staff are caring with a sense of humour. They are aware of the varied needs of residents and deal with any problems sympathetically.

My brother and his wife were both in Skirbeck Court. They are cared for really well. The staff are very good. The food is good with a good choice. I have always found the home very clean and comfortable. They try to make it a home from home. Well done for all who work there.

Skirbeck Court is a very friendly and homely home. Everyone is always welcoming. All the staff are kind, caring and give respect to my Mum. This is always good for me to see as a daughter (being an only one). The staff always have time to have a chat to my Mum and also to myself, when you have no choice
but to have your Mum in care. In Mum's care, because of dementia, it really means so much. I really do have all confidence. They all will give my Mum the best care when things changed, and I couldn't carry on giving Mum the care I had done, for some years in the past.

All the staff, from kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, carers, office and manager, provide excellent care and service to all the residents of Skirbeck Court. Special praise for the Activities Coordinator, who provides varied and fun sessions. I would not want my mother to be cared for anywhere else.

I am more than happy with the care my mother in law received. The staff are very attentive and caring and go beyond what is required to ensure that all the residents consider Skirbeck Court to be their home and not just where they are staying. They are treated with dignity and compassion. The food is

My mother who has been a resident in Skirbeck Court for over 6 years has received throughout this time an excellent level of care. As I live a considerable distance away I have had a real peace of mind that she is being well looked after and receiving a level of care according to her increasing needs.
It is friendly, professional in its care that is carried out to a high standard where despite difficult circumstances at times, nothing is too much trouble.

My friend has resided at this care home for almost 2 years and I have always found the staff friendly towards both residents and other staff members. The manager and assistant manager are both very approachable and put the needs of the resident first and foremost every time. They provide lots of activities
for the residents which they encourage all residents to take part in but also respecting their wishes if they decline. The home is always clean and tidy and well presented. The excellent care staff do everything possible to ensure that all residents are well cared for and everyone works as a team. Excellent cleaning and administration staff. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

Skirbeck Court have provided excellent care for my father who has just passed away at the age of 90 after two years in the home. All the staff were very caring and patient with him.
My mum is still in the care home being there for four years. If it wasn't for the love of the staff she would not still
be alive.
They help her with all needs and encourage her to join in all the activities. I would recommend this care home to everybody.

I've been a resident of Skirbeck Court since May 2016.
My room is comfortable and personal items make it feel more like home.
Personal care (ie baths) is very good.
All members of staff are very caring but very overworked so their time to spend with residents is very limited.
However busy staff
are, they always find time to be sociable and friendly.
I find the food adequate/good but a larger menu choice would be welcome.

We always find it a happy place and staff engage well with residents and visitors. Management are ready to listen to any concerns and will resolve any misunderstandings, reassure the residents and with genuine care and concern, sit and explain things. There appears to be a managed plan for refurbishment.

She has been treated with care and dignity.
I am also impressed with how the home and staff have made us feel welcome as a family not just my mother in law.

Anna

Anna Lewkowicz

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2018

Anna has been the Home Manager at Skirbeck Court since April 2023 having previously held the position at Gregory House. She has worked in the care industry for over 15 years and started as a Carer. Anna is passionate about her role and is dedicated to ensuring that residents receive the highest standards of care.


Anna holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and NCFE Level 2 in the Principles of Dementia Care.


Anna is full of energy, she loves to organise parties and sing-alongs with the residents.

Sacha Thornalley
