Although my mother was with you for just a week, the care and attention she received was of the highest quality we could wish for her. The staff were very friendly towards myself and my wife whenever we visited.

I'm sure that Woodlands Court is the best care home in the area! Until my recent retirement, I was CEO of a multi-award-winning international company. I understand the hard behind-the-scenes work required to provide such an excellent facility and services. My dad needed full-time care. I researched
and assessed 6 care homes and none came close to the standards of Woodlands. Staff are the most important aspect of any business and I am in awe of each and every member of the team at Woodlands Court. Excellence was evident from everybody who cared for my dad. Exceeding the requirement is the norm for these cheerful, diligent and exceptional people who constantly demonstrated that nothing was too much trouble. Spotless, well kept, bright and superbly equipped facilities: an outward sign of the immaculate underpinning management ethos. Please reward this wonderful care home by entrusting your loved family member to their care. Thank you Woodlands for every good day that you gave to my dad!

Thank you, Ben, for you for taking the time to share your experience with other potential service users and their families. The role of a care worker is a difficult one these days, therefore, recognition for their efforts is appreciated.

I never heard a cross word. The staff were always kind and caring. They have a difficult job and it was done with dignity.

My mum was cared for very well and I was especially touched by the care when she was dying and for the staffs support to me and mum at such a difficult time.

My father came to Woodlands Court in 2012 after a traumatic episode in hospital. We were relieved to find somewhere for him to live that was supportive and caring. Throughout my father's 5 years at Woodlands Court I had reason to be grateful to all the staff who unfailingly supported and cared for my
father through some very difficult times. Their care meant that my father felt safe and avoided hospital admission on many occasions. I have great respect and admiration for the managers, nurses, care staff, cooks and cleaners.

My mum is very happy at Woodlands Court and it was her choice to be there when it became impossible to live at home. She had several post-hospital stays previously.
Recently moved from the house to the bungalows which is lovely. Her room looks out onto the garden and they have hung her family photographs
on the walls.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. October 2017 My mum passed away peacefully at Woodlands Court. The staff were very kind and helpful. They have liaised with the coroner and GP making it less painful to achieve results.

Thank you for your kind comments, they are invaluable to the team who worked hard on a daily basis to care for your mum before she passed away. Your mum was a popular member of our Woodlands family who is sadly missed by our team and service users who became her friends.

A difficult time here was facilitated by the amazing staff. Every member of the team from the manageress to the cleaning ladies were caring, compassionate and helpful. The food was home cooked on site and was varied, appealing and nutritious. Very important. We certainly recommend this home.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.238)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.238) out of 10 for Woodlands Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.932 for Woodlands Court is calculated as follows: ( (55 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 59 Ratings = 4.932

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.306 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Woodlands Court is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 31 registered maximum number of service users is 6.2. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 6.2 = 0.806

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
