Bethany Homestead has become an increasingly happy place to be. There is lots of fun and laughter. Carers tell me how much they love my relative and I can see it in the way they look after him. In general, they are patient and kind, despite encountering difficult and challenging situations at times.
I am very happy to have my relative looked after there.

Thank you for your kind words, we all appreciate them. As you're aware, Bethany Homestead has been implementing lots of changes in how the home previously was supported and it's great to hear such positive feedback. Laughter is a beautiful medicine and goes a long way to lift all our spirits.

This is a caring home where management and staff genuinely want to look after their charges to the best of their ability.
The home provides many activities for residents and encourages community whilst respecting privacy. The cuisine is very good, a variety of good, healthy food nicely presented.
I
believe its non-profit making, Christian environment lays the foundation and ensures a truly lovely home for my cousin who is very happy considering Bethany Homestead her 'forever home' where she has made many friends.
The property is well located on the outskirts of Northampton, being of a size to ensure a peaceful environment whilst providing appropriate security.
I have experience of a number of care homes and this one stands well above all. I congratulate all those responsible for its management and care execution, well done.

Bethany Homestead is a clean, welcoming, caring home with lots of activities for the residents. The new manager is very approachable, understands the residents' needs and makes sure everything is dealt with appropriately and efficiently.
The home is undergoing some lovely decoration and new furniture
updates which is further improving the overall ambience. I cannot recommend this home highly enough.

Always a nice welcome, friendly and a nice atmosphere.
All the staff are pleasant and recognise visitors.
A very peaceful and pleasant setting outdoors.
My mother is happy and contented here, with plenty of things going on to keep her occupied.
She is now eating so much more than when she was
at home alone.

My parents have been very warmly welcomed into Bethany Homestead since August 2024. Everyone has been so very kind and caring. My mum has become stronger and more confident walking with her frame after what has been a traumatic time since May when she broke her hip. The real bonus was that my parents
were able to move there at the same time.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.972)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.972) out of 10 for Bethany Homestead is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.814 for Bethany Homestead is calculated as follows: ( (49 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 59 Ratings = 4.814

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.158 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bethany Homestead is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 registered maximum number of service users is 7.6. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.6 = 0.658

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
