Situated on the northern edge of Northampton, Brampton View offers outstanding residential and dementia care with rural views of Chapel Brampton.

The care home is warm and inviting as well as close to local attractions and amenities.

The bedrooms are set across two floors, with each floor having two lounges for socialising and activities, as well as two dining rooms for a premium dining experience. Brampton View also benefits from a library, so that residents can find peace and quiet any time. Furnishings and décor throughout the home are of a high standard with classical styling and modern conveniences.

Landscaped gardens wrap around the building, providing numerous areas for relaxing and socialising outdoors. There is also a secure garden for residents of the dementia community to enjoy safely.

Having visited my mother each day for the past week, I find her well looked after. She is always dressed well and always very clean. She is sometimes slow in finishing her meals but she always is allowed the necessary time she needs.
The activities at this home are designed to interest and challenge
the residents. Time is always taken to respect the special needs of each resident.

This is a first class but pricey home. All the staff are marvellous and there is very little turnover of staff.
This means residents get used to their carers and respond accordingly.
Activities are numerous and various and never dull.
Everyone from housekeeping up to the manager is friendly and
always greet you with a cheery smile.

My father recently had a "grant a wish" fulfilled which turned out to be a fantastic experience for him. His last job was at Churches shoe factory where he went to train new staff to do welt sewing. He retired at the age of 70 and missed his shoe making days. Brampton View arranged for a visit from
Churches and they duly did a wonderful presentation to my Dad and other residents. They explained the history of how Northampton became the shoe making capital.


There was a range of shoes currently being manufactured, together with examples of all the different skins used. This included a pair of crocodile shoes which retail at £3000, which had been made by a man whom my Dad had trained, what a proud moment. After the presentation, everyone enjoyed tea and cakes, each individual cake had a Churches shoe on top made from rice paper, all organised by the wonderful activities team at Brampton View. It was a truly splendid afternoon for my Dad, as well as the other residents.

Brampton View have always shown care and consideration to my dad. The nursing staff have always treated him with great care and the care staff treat him like family, which is great to know that he is in safe hands.
Everyone in the home is lovely and I recommend Brampton View Care Home.

My mother passed away at Brampton View Care Home on 2nd January the love and care she received in the 16 months she was there was amazing. All the staff were so lovely to me and my family. My Dad was only with you for three months, but during that time he felt very much at home. It could have been a difficult transition for a 90-year-old, but everyone, carers and admin were superb in helping him settle in. He was very fond of the carers who were always kind and generous with their time.
We were kept informed regularly and always consulted about anything of importance. It was reassuring for us to know we had made the right decision for him in this critically important last chapter of his life.

On arrival for the stay, Dad was well received and catered for from day one. All of the stay was made easy by the neverending excellence of the dedicated staff (nursing, carers, cleaner, maintenance and management). There was never, on any occasion, that anything was too much to make his stay as comfortable

I was initially impressed by the attitude and patience of the manager, who listened to my reasons why I wanted my wife to become a resident at Brampton View, and who arranged admittance very quickly. Her calm, pleasant efficient manner is reflected to a great degree by the staff who care for the residents,
who are treated like an extended family. They also make time to listen to visitors comments and act upon them, where appropriate. Brampton View is an impressive, modern purpose built building, but I find the management and staff impressive.

Brampton View Northampton provided a compassionate and caring environment for my mum at a very sad time within her life. They gave me the peace of mind that my mum was being cared for and was safe. The staff all worked to make mums stay happy. Staff would make mum a cup of coffee which she really loved.
Happily mum is well enough to move to be closer to myself but I would certainly consider this home if needed in the future. The grounds are also peaceful and calming and mum loved walking in them.

My father was in the Dementia Wing here for approx. 18 months, latterly also probably having cancer. The staff of this wing have been excellent - caring, developing personal relationships with my dad and the whole family. I felt they knew and respected him. His physical, personal, emotional needs were
identified and addressed. He was also offered and supported to participate in activities. He died in November and again he and us were treated with the utmost care and compassion during the weekend of his death. We (and he) were given choices regarding his life here and his death. Some staff attended the funeral.

From the first enquiry in November 2015, a no hassle approach till we finally made our decision about my mother just before Christmas 2015 after the local Social Services wanted to send my mother home. All staff very friendly and approachable. When we finally decided on this care home after my mother
visited it, everything was done quickly and efficiently, far different from the rehabilitation unit she had come from who wanted to send her home. We managed to put some of my mother's small personal items in the room over Christmas until we could sort out Mum's flat, maintenance were able to put pictures up and check lights/clocks we took in efficiently.

My mother has been in residential care in Brampton View for almost 6 years.
For all of that time she has been cared for extremely well. Her room is comfortable, clean and very well maintained and the standard of care is excellent.
The staff are uniformly friendly and caring and always call the residents
by name - never 'dear'. The residents are always treated with great respect.
The standard of food is fair and could be improved, but new caterers are being appointed very shortly so this will hopefully change in the near future.
There was a dip in standards at the end of 2014 into early 2015 and this followed a change of management and coincided with a poor CQC report.
Since then a further new manager has been appointed and the level of service has noticeably improved and it is back to where it should be. Communication with relatives is much improved and there has been a recent improvement in the standard of activities under the new manager.

My Mum has been at Brampton View for nearly 2 years. When she arrived she had been in hospital for 4 months but since that time her health and general outlook has improved considerably and she feels Brampton is now her home. The Staff are always patient, understanding and friendly and Mum thinks of
them as her friends.
Any issues that the Home had a while ago have now been fully overcome, and I feel content that Mum is safe and well looked after.

My mother has had excellent care here, I am kept very informed about her medical needs and her general welfare. The home is always clean and fresh smelling and my mother is always clean and well dressed. Although mum is blind and very deaf she is always included in as many activities as possible given
her disabilities. The carers are always welcoming and pleasant and speaking to other residents who are more alert than my mother they all tell me the staff are caring and lovely.

Delivering fantastic care for our residents is what drives me every single day, and the team and I are dedicated to guaranteeing that all of our residents are treated with dignity, respect and attention - thus in turn enabling them to celebrate life in their new Barchester home which I feel exceptionally privileged to be a part of.


My vision for Brampton View is to lead the home towards being the best care home in the area, providing active social lives for our residents full of life-enriching activities supported by our wonderful care teams.

Job Title: Head Chef

Joined: 2020

Hello. I am Glenn, I joined the team at Brampton view in 2021 as Head Chef. I have 35 years of culinary experience and I have had the privilege of working in many locations including the island of Bermuda for 10 years and Scotland for 8 years where I ran my own restaurants. I have also had the pleasure of putting my culinary talents to test for royalty and other famous people.


Since working in healthcare I have found such fulfilment in being able to provide enjoyment for the residents in their mealtime experience. It feels like cooking for my extended family. I enjoy taking time out of my day to visit the residents to ask for feedback on the meals and tailor the menu for their preferences as it is their menu! At Brampton view we run our Pudding Club where each month we have recreated a resident’s recipe from their lives and I have provided a cooking demonstration of this. As well as being the nutrition champion for the home I like to take part in the Barchester competitions I involve the residents and my wider team in these, I was also nominated for Chef of the year! Christmas 2023 I produced a gingerbread house advert calendar where each day a different resident could open a house for a treat in the countdown to Christmas. Easter 2024 I won the Easter cake competition with my Easter story cake showing the crucifixion of Jesus and the tradition seminal cake. We also won the best Ice Cream Sundae!


I am an avid supporter of American Football League and enjoy getting dressed up to attend the games is a must for me. I enjoy keeping myself in good health and attend the gym as and when I can.


Kimberley

Kimberley Chapman

Job Title: Head Housekeeper

Hello. I am Kim I joined the team at Brampton View initially as the activities lead in 2015 then I was soon promoted to Activity Coordinator. I grew a passion for ensuring the homes environment was always looking its finest, regularly supporting the housekeeping team when not providing premium activities. In 2018 I had the opportunity to become the Head Housekeeper at Brampton View and took the opportunity to grow my own team.


Over the last 4 and a half years we have created a diverse housekeeping team who all ensure that the residents' environment is clean, tidy and personalised. I thrive on ensuring that our team's performance is to the highest standard ensuring the environment is spotless!


We also ensure the residents have a hot drink when cleaning the rooms or even a fresh cake from the kitchen, our purpose is to support all our residents and staff with the daily running of our beautiful home.


I am passionate about the environment and enjoy fresh water swimming, I have been enjoying this activity for a number of years which provided therapeutic benefits to me. I am also passionate about my family and spending quality time with them.

Hello. I am Kevin I joined the team at Brampton View in 2023 as the Head of Maintenance. I bring a variety of experience and knowledge from previous maintenance roles, including housing for children care services, managing a maintenance team covering large geographical area for homelessness, sheltered accommodation and other care home facilities.


Working in a variety of facilities has taught me about compassion, empathy and humility for other people who are less fortunate that some. Being able to bring a service that aids and enriches the lives of others drives my vision and goals.


I am extremely passionate about my role here at Brampton View and dedicated to providing the best maintenance that will improve the quality of the home for all the residents to use for years to come. I enjoy the challenges that I may face in my role, and with a dedicated team who all strive to work hard together we are able to support and ensure the work is carried out in a safe environment. This role crosses paths often with the residents and their families here at Brampton View and I have often found myself being pulled into the activities they are doing, which I enjoy. My goal for Brampton view is for the success of the building, the staff and the residents here to grow and transform.


I have a passion for karaoke and love singing, I also enjoy outdoors sports including rock climbing and canoeing. Having family time throughout the years is important to me, I am very proud of the family I have and the achievements we have made together.

Amanda Walden

Job Title: Team Leader

Hello. I am Amanda, I joined the team at Brampton View in 2022 as a Team Leader. I have achieved my diploma in Level 3 in Health and Social Care and bring more than 30 years of care experience to Brampton View. I have worked in many different care services including learning disabilities. I was also privileged to manage 2 care home settings through the pandemic.


Care started within my family setting when I was younger and I worked with St John ambulance for 14 years also as a volunteer with them as a First Aid trainer. I then joined the care sector in 2012 with palliative care. I was able to provide support to patients and families, building rapport and empathy.


It is very important to me that the residents, families and external visitors are all provided with the best support, communication, understanding and I will give the best of me to ensure their wellbeing is paramount. As a team leader I feel that my role goes above and beyond to our residents as the home is a community and we all become attached to each other through building what feels like that external family unit. Within the home I am passionate about the staff team we have here at Brampton View and how well we work together to provide the passionate care and support to all our residents.


In my spare time I am passionate about my walks that I take with my 2 dogs, Mitzee & Polly, walking is very therapeutic to me and so good for mental health. I am at my happiest when walking the dogs for hours.

Anna Zychowicz

Job Title: Nurse

Hello. I am Anna, I have been a team member at Brampton View since 2021 when I joined as a Registered Nurse. I have over 36 years of nursing experience and have achieved a Master’s degree in special Pedagogy and Bachelor’s degree in Resocialisation. I have also spent time volunteering for prisons and was president for a young person’s organisations. When living in Poland I was the senior nurse for Neurosurgery and Oncology-Surgery unit. I also had the pleasure of writing articles for the local hospital newspaper.


It was a childhood dream to be a nurse and always my first-choice career. I love everything about nursing and passionate about the residents I care for, if the residents are in good health, happy and well this makes me feel good. I love to see a resident improving in health and feel that connection with each individual that I care for. Having my residents feel safe, secure and happy is the most important aspect of my role. I have a well accomplished team and we work in unity as one, thus ensures the care, compassion and wellbeing we deliver to our residents. I have a excellent relationship with the residents families and they enjoy speaking with me about their loved ones.


I enjoy spending quality time reading a good psychological book and even more so with my family, especially my son who is diagnosed with autism, we enjoy family holidays exploring natural wonders and astrology. In days gone by I was also an avid basketball and tennis player.

Hello. I am Clare, I am a member of the administration team at Brampton View, you will see me at the front desk where I am happy to greet and answer any of your enquiries. I enjoy the day-to-day routine in the home and learning more about what is all involved.


Having worked in banking sector for 23 years and I also served time in the Women Royal Navy as a radio operator in Petersfield which I enjoyed immensely. Having these experiences allows me the opportunity to meet and engage with our residents, learn of their history, their work life, family life and the devotion they gave in their lives to others. It is also a pleasure to spend time getting to know our resident’s family when they come in to visit and join in on the activities we hold and work with all our external customers who visit and provide a service to our home


There is so much I value in spending time with my family and grandchildren out with work, family time is so important to me and this resonates within the work that I do in the Brampton View, it’s so important to me giving back to our residents who have devoted their lives giving to others, hearing them reminisce about the things they have done and what they have achieved.

Hello. I am Courtney I joined the team at Brampton View as the Home Administrator early in 2024. I am an experienced administrator having previously worked within the NHS for the last two years, working closely with a large team including secretaries, nurses, general practitioners, along with a vast network of patients and external clients.


Having made the move to work at Brampton View I am passionate about supporting residents and their families throughout their Barchester journey, dedicated to understanding their individual needs, answer questions, provide knowledge and work in a blended approach.


I love to walk around the home, even if it is just to deliver the residents post or newspapers, this allows me to spend some quality time with each individual and get to know them. I value that each resident has their own story, and more importantly inclusion for all. I work with a great team at Brampton view where we are passionate about a whole home approach.


My door is always open for a chat to the residents, their families or staff. I’m known for my cheery disposition along with being visible and approachable around the home. I hold real value on the time I spend with family and friends out with work, travelling at times to spend quality time together. I can also be found submersed at home in a good book or listening to music.

Job Title: Activities Assistant

Joined: 2011

Hello. I am Julie, I joined Brampton View in 2011 as Housekeeper and continued in this role for 12 years and made the decision last year to move to the Activities team which I am very passionate about the work I do here in the home. During my time as a housekeeper, I spent time with the residents and loved looking after their home, making the residents happy made me happy. The residents are like my second family and I want to give them the care, support and compassion that I would expect for my own family especially my grandparents.


Moving into the activities team has allowed me to spend more time with the residents and give them more enjoyment and happiness as we create and organise the activities and events that caters to the needs, abilities and requests of our residents. It allows me to see the joy that we bring and meet families and friends who can give us more insight to the individual residents their history, hobbies, interests and what roles they had to allow us to create and plan activities that will be of interest to them.


As a child I was always drawn to help others, with a cheery character I had been asked on various occasions to join the activities team and I’m so glad that I chose to change over. Whilst I am passionate about my work, I also value my time at home with my family and spend as much time I can with my parents. I enjoy my time out walking with my 2 dogs, Coco and Bobby.

Hello. I am Cristina, I joined Brampton View in 2023 as Head of the Memory Lane Unit. I have been a Qualified Nurse for 12 years and have a vast amount of knowledge and experience. I am passionate about the care I provide for our residents and proud that I am part of a team who is dedicated with the same goals and values to continually improve the quality, health and wellbeing of all our residents in the home. I work closely with the general practitioners, district nurses, occupational therapists, dieticians and other external agencies that support the residents.


It is my goal to ensure that the home is a safe and secure environment for the residents and their families and that they feel confident in the work we are doing, communication we provide and inclusive strategy we hold from the welcome received to the journey they have living in their home here at Brampton View.


Therapeutic benefits through activities are important to the residents and we have a lovely garden in which we grow flowers and vegetables. I have a passion for gardening and enjoy the time spent with residents doing this or in my own garden. I am also an avid reader and find this is a way for me to relax and improves my wellbeing.
