During my mum's stay in the home, she was treated with respect and was well cared for. She enjoyed her time there, especially the wonderful home-cooked food.

The carers and manager of Cheney House have been most supportive to all our family members (Grandchildren, son and Daughter-in-law) with the resident's admission for emergency respite care and now a permanent offer of residency. The staff have told it as it is, but with compassion and integrity- be
it by phone calls or when visiting the resident.

Anytime we were there, we were pleasantly surprised how attentive, the staff were to everybody and a wonderful atmosphere.
My sister-in-law is so happy in there and very well cared for.

The home is in a nice setting and secure. The staff are fantastic and so kind. Main concerns are the bedrooms they need updating and all the furniture could do with renewing. The management very caring and protective of. Residents and staff are also very helpful.

The care provided at the home for my wife has been of a good standard. The manager has been very helpful and taken the time to talk things through with me on a one-to-one basis, giving me reassurance at this difficult time. The interior of the home could do with some improvements, however, it's the

The care provided at the home for my step-mother has been of a good standard. The manager and her team care caring, professional and transparent. The quality of care, empathy for the family and one to one discussions with regard to worries or concerns have been dealt with very well. The interior of
the home could do with some work, especially the lift - however, the quality of is wah's important. Thank you.

As a former carer to my own mother, this is my view. It is one of the hardest types of care to give. Cheney House may not be the grandest of residence but I found an immense level of patience, kindness and support within this place of safety for so many.

A lovely old building surrounded by gardens. Inside was very clean. The staff are friendly, helpful and showed great care to the residents. There are structured activities and outings. The food is good. My sister was clean and well dressed. She has made friends and was cheerful and happy.

Each time I visit the staff are brilliant. Sometimes I see they are extremely busy feeding, assisting feeding and entertaining the residents.
I now understand more regarding the work they do and the help they give that I myself can no longer give my mother.

As a family we have found the standard of care that he has received to be extremely good. We have visited at varying times and days and found a good staffing level and residents to be well cared for and as happy as they can be. Overall very impressed. Building and decor are dated but this is far less
important than good care for anyone.

The team offer a very friendly, welcoming environment involving all residents in activities, family and friends are welcome to visit their loved ones at times which are best for them as no appointments needed to visit at times which are best for them as no appointments are needed to visit. I am made
to feel very welcome by staff offering refreshments, such as coffee/tea and always asked if I would like to join my loved one for lunch before I leave. Overall I am very happy with the level of care for my husband from the team.

Having got my father and father-in-law in Cheney House, I cannot recommend it enough. The care is outstanding. I feel that even though sometimes we don't visit enough, I know that they are both well cared for. It puts mine and my mum's minds at ease to know how well they are cared for. The maintenance
of Cheney House is always being done to improve it and everywhere is always clean and hygienic.

Visits with my Grandad involve a rollercoaster of emotions, utter joy when he is happy to interact with me, sing little ditties and familiar quotes, play bingo and go for a walk but then extreme sadness when he does not want to interact, is dismissive, angry and walks away, as occurs the majority of
visits. It is therefore reassuring when myself or family members don’t visit due to it being emotionally draining, that he is being cared for so well by Cheney House staff.
The new driveway is marvellous, it is reassuring that residents and visitors no longer have a trip risk outside the home and better for vehicles now that there are no potholes!
The home is kept clean and hygienic when there is a risk of infection, visitors are stopped. The manager and staff are friendly, show an interest in me and my family and offer support when emotions run high. Cups of tea are offered at every visit and having kindly been invited to stay for dinner on my Grandad's birthday, I can say that the food is fabulous!

This is the first time my wife has had to go into a care home. I went to view Cheney house with my daughter and we found the home was neat, tidy and clean. The room my wife was given was very good. My wife has settled in well and I am at ease about where she is and see her once a week, as does our daughter.

Cheney House provides the highest standard of care to all service users. The meals are fantastic and varied, they have activities daily and anything service users requires staff will go above and beyond to get it.
They cared for my grandad and I can’t praise them enough for the help and support they
gave my family and me. My family was kept informed of anything that needed attention and we were able to visit any time for any duration. Excellent care by amazing staff thank you xx

My father in law received great care at Cheney House. The staff are professional and attentive and take care of his every need. They plan a wide range of activities for him to engage with, have excellent meals and snacks and monitor his overall wellbeing. The care home is well managed and has a "family
feel" to it. We are extremely pleased with the provision.

All staff are extremely kind, caring and professional.
They helped mum to settle quickly and made sure she was happy and comfortable. There is always a large variety of activities on offer to the residents and every effort is made to cater to all of their needs.
Very happy that mum was able to attend
this establishment in her hour of need. It had a tremendous impact on her and helped improve her quality of life. Thank you all so much.

My husband was admitted to Cheney House on emergency respite. It was a smooth transition for me and my husband. The home manager supported me and explained everything from when we arrived.
The staff were all brilliant. I was made to feel welcome from when we arrived I couldn't have asked for better
at a difficult time.
