Collingtree Park is a residential care home in Northampton, with convenient access to the M1 for visitors. The home is set in the beautiful surroundings of Collingtree Park Golf Course and has leisure and shopping facilities nearby. The purpose-built home offers easy, modern and comfortable living, and landscaped gardens to the front and rear which are accessible to residents for fine-weather activities and outdoor socialising.

Collingtree Park provides residential care and support for a variety of needs relating to ageing and dementia. The highly motivated team focuses on the individual needs of residents, with personal care plans for each resident and a range of activities with something of interest to everyone.

Family and friends are welcome to visit anytime and take part in regular relatives' meetings where all ideas and suggestions are enthusiastically received by the General Manager.

Collingtree Park offers respite care which can be pre-booked up to a year in advance. All rooms are fully furnished, with en-suite facilities, and the lounges and dining areas have doors opening onto the lovely gardens.

I have always been made to feel welcome when visiting my sister. All staff members have been pleasant and professional. I cannot comment on the activities as my sister has not joined in with any that I know of.

Since my mum came to visit Collingtree Park Care Home, she has been treated with care and kindness. The facilities are generally very good. It is a shame that the food is not of a particularly good standard and is the issue my mum talks about most. It is often served cold when it should be hot and is
not always cooked very well. The manager is very approachable and always visible and values the opinions of the residents.

Basically very happy with the care. Mum and Dad receive a lot of help-both needing the hoist or the complete hoist to move from chair to chair or bed. Both seem happy, the food is excellent and the carers are very kind but very busy. Communication between myself and the carers is excellent. It's a very
friendly and secure environment. The only slight issue is the lack of activities.

The staff are warm and very friendly. They treat my parents with respect and are very kind. The food is lovely, my father really enjoys his food which always looks lovely. There is a hood variety of foods, it all looks home-cooked and nourishing. They have good access to GP and medical care.

My father required a period of respite following a fall at home where he had been living for the last 52 years. The staff at Collingtree Park Care Home understood his position and made him feel very welcome, so much so that he decided to stay permanently. All the staff and management are visible and
approachable and I'm delighted to see dad settled and comfortable. He enjoys the interaction and activity provided. He tells me the food is very acceptable which is a compliment in itself. The premises are always clean and fresh smelling, overall I'm very happy with our choice.

I cannot praise the staff enough at Collingtree, specifically the lovely admin assistant who answered the phone. I rang very distressedly, needing emergency respite care for my dad. I had been thrown into finding a suitable care home at short notice and had no idea how to go about it. The lady I spoke
to was so understanding and compassionate and instantly put my mind at rest. She explained how the admission process worked, rang me regularly to check on our situation and generally went over and above to support me through a tricky few weeks. Amazing service.

My mother was placed in Collingtree Park for a fortnight of respite care due to the onset of Dementia in December 2019. It turned out the home took her on full time. I do not think my mother was as easy to look after as first thought, and I have only got praise for all the members of staff who coped
with her through 2020. Everyone always showed kindness, and even with the stress of Covid, in work and at home, were always welcoming on the few visit days allowed. I would happily recommend anyone to look around the house, and while I hope I never need to be in a home, I would be very happy at Collingtree.

My mother is suffering with dementia and had to move into Collingtree Park in March 2021 due to her worsening condition. Every member of staff we have encountered (either over the phone or during our visits) has been caring and professional. I was expecting the transition for mum to be extremely difficult
but thanks to the care and professionalism of the team at Collingtree it has been quite the opposite. The team understands the emotions involved for relatives of new residents and have been extremely supportive towards myself and my sister. They have made a real effort to get to know mum as an individual and are always trying to engage her in activities that she will enjoy. We have been very impressed with everyone at Collingtree Park.

My mother went into hospital for an operation on Tuesday, but unfortunately, I was in isolation and was therefore unable to take her.
This was very difficult for me, but I was really pleased that a member of staff from Memory Lane escorted her and stayed with her throughout what could have been a traumatic
day. This staff member is amazing at her job, with a natural caring way. She is an absolute asset to Barchester. She has developed a wonderful relationship with my mum and I'm sure it was a great comfort to have her with her, as it was for me to know my mum was in such good hands.

I am a registered nurse, qualifying from Sheffield University in 2013. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including surgical care, Intensive Care Units and A&E. The last 3 years I have spent in care home management where I developed my skills as a leader in the social care sector. I joined Barchester earlier this year as a Clinical Development Nurse, working regionally with nursing and residential teams coaching and teaching departments to always achieve the best care for our residents.


I am very passionate about providing a quality experience for our residents and their families. My day involves speaking to the residents and finding out their favourite foods and recreating all their happiest memories. The kitchen team love to share ideas to constantly keep up with the latest trends to produce some appetising dishes. Getting the right balance is a must! Collingtree Park feels like a big family - I cook with love, as I would for my own family. I research recipes online and try them at home to get them just right for our residents. I like cooking main courses, making them attractive, hearty and full of flavour. I am already working on menus for next season.


I can adapt any of my recipes for people with allergies or swallowing difficulties, so they can enjoy the same flavours as everyone else.

My main responsibility is to keep the home in full working order. I ensure the décor, furniture and equipment are always attractive, comfortable and safe. I carry out inspections and safety drills to comply with Barchester and statutory policies for equipment and the whole home environment. I manage the maintenance and gardening team and liaise with external contractors. I support residents and families in personalising their bedrooms by putting up pictures and arranging furniture, especially for new residents. In my spare time, I enjoy watching and playing football, swimming and cycling.
