Crescent house is a residential care home for the elderly, registered for up to 40 residents. It was founded in 1982 and is still owned and run by the same family today. As a single, family-run care home, that is not part of a corporate group, they are able to provide a high level of personalisation to the care provided. The team constantly strive to innovate and make changes to deliver the very best level of care for the residents.

Crescent House is located in a picturesque setting in the heart of Abington in Northampton. The home is surrounded by manicured gardens which provide a peaceful retreat for the residents. There is a paddock which houses two Shetland ponies in the Summer months, and often sheep with their lambs in the Spring. A large covered veranda area provides a versatile outside space for entertainment and summer parties.

The team at Crescent House are one of their greatest assets, the 34 staff are passionate about the care they provide, with consistent levels of quality and support for an active lifestyle. Crescent House welcomes residents with a wide range of personal care needs, with all provision carried out in a compassionate and respectful manner by the experienced and established team of carers.

The 37 spacious rooms all benefit from en-suite shower rooms and most have their own individual outside space. Residents are welcome to personalise their own rooms if they wish.

The full-time activities coordinator plans a wide ranging timetable of activities every week. From baking to flower arranging; music and movement sessions to pamper afternoons - there are meaningful activities available for all residents tailored to their needs. Singers and entertainers come in several times a week and are always a hit. Care and activities are tailored to residents' individual religious and cultural beliefs.

Visitors are always welcome for a tour of Crescent House.

I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of service and care received by my parents over the past three years at Crescent House Care Home. As an only child living abroad, I have to rely on the staff and management to look after Mum and Dad and I have total trust that they have been very well treated.
Sadly, we lost Mum last July and everyone was magnificent in helping Dad and me through a very traumatic experience, especially as I wasn't able to get home to attend the funeral due to Covid. The love and care all staff show for Dad has made his loss bearable and I really do believe he is treated like one of the family. My wife and I often say how lucky we are to have found this home from home and I strongly recommend anyone looking for a care home to visit Crescent House to see for themselves what a lovely, caring place it is.

My mother could not be in a better care home. The staff are fun, caring, conscientious and professional people who look after her extremely well, they are always very quick to respond to the changes in her condition. The home is always very clean and the gardens are kept neat and tidy. More able residents
seem to have lots of activities and the residents' garden is fantastic with miniature ponies who are very friendly.

My father has always been happy at Crescent House Care Home. The staff are very kind, approachable and helpful, and over the last two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, they have really been excellent. A major contact for me during this time was the activities coordinator who oversaw relatives’ visits
to the home. I would like to thank her so much for what she contributes to my dad’s wellbeing.
There is always a lovely atmosphere when I visit and the facilities of the home are both enabling and engaging to residents.
I am glad I chose Crescent House for my parents and would recommend it to others.

I have been so delighted with the appointment of an activities supervisor. She has a very engaging personality and has very quickly established herself at the home, learning the residents’ names and understanding their individual personalities and needs.
She has organised a varied programme of entertainment
which was especially good at Christmas and has devised hands-on activities for the more able residents, for example, card making, flower arranging, making bird feeders. She has made a big positive change.
As a result of her efforts, I have noticed that my Mother is lately much more engaged and chatty. I would like to thank her.
