My mum has flourished in Linden Manor. She is very content. She always looks clean and tidy. The cook is a lovely lady and looks after her dietary needs. Very homely place and lovely staff.

My Mum has been at Linden Manor for a good few hours. I am impressed with the staff and already meeting Mums care needs. I am happy for her to be here.

My mum has been in this home for a few weeks now. Whilst most of the staff are ok, it's a sad fact that they are severely understaffed. They have good intentions when they say they are going to do something and it never gets done because of demand of the residents. Thankfully my mum is coming back
home where she will be much more attended to. They broke my mum's new TV and no-one wants to claim responsibility. On the whole, they try, but I suppose when there is simply not enough staff it's impossible to keep up a good a standard. They are dementia patients so they need a bit of time, but the residents don't get the attention they need, and normal patients are having to mix with them, this makes for a bit of tension with the dementia residents. Sad situation, but most of the staff do their best to cope.

Thank you for your views on Linden Manor along with raised concerns, we do take all concerns seriously and these are acted upon receipt. It was great speaking with you to discuss the review, your comments have been fed back to staff and the homes manager and my role explained. I am pleased to hear the TV has been resolved with your brother's input and managed to have this exchanged. Staff are trained to fulfil their care and this includes respecting any personal belongings as this is very important to us. We try to aim and resolve any matter's on the day. It's very difficult for anyone to see a loved one entering a care home as this can be very upsetting for any family member, we are here to support any family member as well as the loved one. We have an open door policy, complaints details can be found displayed in our home. Please feel free to call me at any time and look forward to your next review. I am glad to hear the staff care and Mum is returning home as planned. A new activity Organiser has recently been recruited and continues to be trained with support including weekend cover. Thank you.

Genuine and caring staff who made my Aunt's stay as enjoyable as possible and supported emotional as well as physical needs.
Staff always friendly, welcoming and helpful when visiting. Management were invaluable in helping out with enquiries about additional issues and being supportive. There were
tears all round on departure! Thank you!!

The staff at Linden Manor Care Home were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We were always greeted with a hello and a smile and made to feel welcome, always offered a drink. It was very clean and no smells. I have been in a couple of other care homes that are newer that Linden Manor
and believe me, this home and the staff knock the spots off them! It may be an old building but it is brilliant. I would recommend it any time.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.186)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.186) out of 10 for Linden Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.586 for Linden Manor is calculated as follows: ( (45 Excellents x 5) + (21 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 70 Ratings = 4.586

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.6 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Linden Manor is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 28 registered maximum number of service users is 5.6, which has been reached with 6 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
