Cannot praise the staff at Thorndale for looking after our loved one, especially keeping them safe from Covid-19 virus.

Staff are very friendly from the catering, domestic staff, caring staff and management. Very clean and bright care home. Meets my mums needs perfectly. The meals and snacks are of a good standard, I was able to make up my mum's breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks menu to suit my mum's requirements.
Some mornings she could have a full English breakfast if she wants to, which she does a couple of mornings a week. Well done everyone, stay safe.

At Christmas time we started looking for a residential home for gran. It was quite a challenge, as we looked we knew some were not the right place for our lovely gran and were starting to worry! We followed our first impressions and felt Thorndale had a welcoming feel straight away. Luckily gran
agreed! Gran has been there for almost a month now, and the difference in her is amazing. The staff, go above and beyond to make her happy, nothing is too much bother. We are welcome to visit any hour and feel we can trust the staff impeccably to look after our lovely gran. We can’t say enough about the place! We would recommend it to anyone looking for a homely, safe, sociable (when wanted) environment.

I have been treated with all the kindness and consideration one could ever expect. Nothing at all was ever too much bother, especially from a certain member of staff, she is so thoughtful and understanding and kindness is the word good enough. Even though she must be tired after doing night shift she
continues to treat the residents with consideration and kindness at all times. I can't speak highly enough of her. Other members of staff are also very kind and respectful.

The staff are always friendly and customer focused. Very person-centred.
Nothing is too much trouble and all staff, including management, know the residents well.

It’s a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. My nan came from living on her own and settled in well and loves the entertainment, particularly the singers and bingo. It’s so comforting to know she’s safe and well cared for.

The full-time staff at Thorndale are excellent. They are helpful and informative with all the care they provide for the residents in their care, looking after all their needs. It is a comfortable pleasant home to go to and visit your relative who reside there and I feel welcome at any time. I am grateful
for the care and attention they give to my mother.

Job Title: Team Leader

I’ve worked for Shaw Healthcare since 2013, I started off at Beech Close as a Support Worker & I am now a Team Leader @ Thorndale.
I’ve worked in many different jobs Hospitality, Retail, Jack of all trades some may say.
I trained to be a Beauty Therapist, once qualified it was great, however, I soon realised I wasn’t satisfied just doing eyebrows and I knew I had so much more to give.
I've always been very passionate in whatever I do and I need satisfaction, I've finally found it at Thorndale.
I love coming to work, I feel fully supported by my colleagues, most of all, I love seeing a smile on a resident's face and the fact that I've made them feel good about themselves.
I look forward to my future at Thorndale & with Shaw.
