Westlands Care Home is a residential and dementia care facility located in Wellingborough. It is set up to be particularly ideal for people who have developed dementia.

There are calmly decorated bedrooms in muted tones at Westlands, three social areas and an enclosed garden, making for a homely atmosphere that assists staff in carrying out expert care.

Residents have access to a wet room, shower rooms within the building and home-cooked meals are served up daily (with the odd fish and chip supper!)

All laundry is catered for and bedrooms are cleaned daily by housekeeping. Westlands aim is to provide a safe, secure environment that you can call home.

The privately run home also accepts local funded clients with an expected top up fee in addition to the Expected Pay Rate (EPR) which will be discussed with the manager during viewing.

My mother-in-law has only been in the care home for three weeks. Every time I have visited the staff have all been polite and helpful. She is always clean and has water available. The home is always clean and tidy.

My mother is a little on the quiet side and so does not like to cause a fuss, so when I ask the staff any questions they are extremely helpful. Whenever I visit the staff always ask if I would like a drink and will fetch my mother down to see me. In my view, the home is run extremely well and efficiently.

The staff and management here are just simply amazing they are easy to approach and answer all our questions. It's a lovely homely feel, and we are made to feel welcome. Nothing seems to be too much trouble, like moving mum to a quiet room for a visit.

My Mother went into Westlands Care Home in February 2024. This followed a series of 'short stays' in various homes over the proceeding months. Since her admission, she's been cared for in an exemplary manner, despite the issues with her behaviour (due to her conditions).
The staff are welcoming and
friendly and the management is available as required.
My Mother is now settled and content, I cannot recommend this home highly enough!

The care my mother receives at Westlands is absolutely wonderful. With my mother needing to move into care I was incredibly worried about what the experience would be like, but everyone at Westlands has been so wonderful, kind, compassionate, welcoming, and incredibly caring. Having been incredibly
worried about my mother's wellbeing, and initially visiting every day through worry, I take such comfort knowing that she is so very well cared for, treated as an individual, and know that she is safe and well and treated with such dignity, which has taken so much worry away from me, allowing a more manageable visiting pattern for me. The team do such a fantastic job, and the management team are wonderful, always having time to chat with me about any worries I may have, and they have been so incredibly supportive to not only my mother but to me also. Thank you all for everything you have done for my mother and for me too.

Since being at Westlands I feel I can relax more knowing my mother is being very well looked after.
I feel the staff know her well, and she in turn responds to them. The manager has always made time for myself and my brother whenever we've needed any kind of help. Whenever we visit we've been made
to feel very welcome and are always offered the home's hospitality. Westlands has a 'homely' feel about it!

When my dad moved into Westlands we were very worried not having any experience of care homes, we needn't of worried my dad loves it there, the staff are very caring, they tend to all Dad's needs, we are kept up to date with any medical issues, lovely home cooked food, the home is lovely and clean,
they have entertainment most weeks. I would highly recommend Westlands for your loved ones.

The professionalism, care and understanding made the transition of my father moving in at short notice much easier to bear. My father has never looked so well. My mother receives excellent care at Westlands - the staff are great - they 'know' my mother - she seems well looked after and has more beauty treatments than ever before in her life - which I know she loves! The staff always keep me informed about her. When we visit - we are always made welcome and
the staff are helpful and attentive. The management are great and have a good grip on everything.

My wife went into Westlands Care Home in February. She has Alzheimer's, vascular dementia, mobility issues and behaviour problems. Since her admittance she has been cared for in an exemplary manner and I could not wish for better. The manager is readily available and keeps me informed. Every staff member
I have come into contact with has been welcoming and friendly and I have come into contact with has been welcoming and friendly and I have observed how skilful and caring they all are. My wife's room is kept spotless clean and tidy. I cannot speak highly enough of this care home.

My mother was a recent resident at Westlands. I would just like to say thank you to all the staff, team leaders and management team for the wonderful care my mum received. I cannot fault them on their professionalism, patience and care. All the staff were so caring and polite. Special thanks to the
manager and two other staff members who welcomed Mum on the very first day she arrived and were her constant contacts. I am so deeply grateful to them.

The patience, kindness and understanding shown to my mother has been excellent. She was moved to Westlands for assessment and was very unhappy being so far away from home, family and friends but the staff made every effort to try to make her temporary stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I
felt that she was in safe hands and was well cared for.

My husband spent two weeks in Westlands for respite care whilst I was recovering from a surgical procedure. The care from all members of staff was excellent and he enjoyed the meals provided. The registered manager and two other staff members in particular were always helpful and more than willing to
talk through any concerns I had when I telephoned. I would not hesitate to recommend Westlands to others looking for care for their relatives.

Westlands is a very caring, kind and professional run home, all the staff were extremely kind to my mum and it made a huge difference to her stay there. After visiting I always felt that my mum was in a safe environment, with the best staff looking after her.

Westlands is a smaller care home and a listed building. (So limitations on facilities) The staff, management, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners and laundry are all very friendly and helpful at this care home.
The food is fresh and sometimes they have a meal choice as the main meal of the day. Rooms are
cleaned every day. The atmosphere in Westlands is like one big happy family.

Dad had his last few months in Westlands. I have knowledge of the care home system via my work. The home is a small friendly and homely environment. The staff are cheerful, know all the residents well and provide a happy, homely atmosphere. The food is plentiful and tasty. Some homes are very posh looking
and have high-quality fittings, but if the care isn’t good then that is a shame. Westlands isn’t the most stylish of homes in looks but the care which is the most important thing is very good.

Every time I've entered Westlands, to visit my mum, I've been greeted by friendly, approachable, and helpful staff. The home itself is always warm, clean, and tidy, and also, the whole staff (from manager to cook) relates well to the residents and is reflected in the overall atmosphere of the home.

Lovely friendly staff.
Mum has never had a negative experience here they keep us up-to-date on her progress and always greet us with smiles and include us in their tea rounds.
Rooms are kept to a very clean standard and you can personalise them as much as you wish.
