Welcome to Clipstone Hall & Lodge Care Home, located in the small ex-mining village of Clipstone. The purpose-built home is situated in the shadow of the Grade II listed colliery headstocks and just a short drive from Mansfield.

Each of the 74 ensuite bedrooms is furnished to a high standard offering Residents the chance to enjoy comfort and tranquillity.

At Clipstone Hall & Lodge providing independence and choice is very important.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own belongings to help them feel at home.

All Clipstone Hall residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. The person-centred care ethos puts residents' health and wellbeing central to everything providing a truly holistic care package.

The facilities at Clipstone Hall & Lodge allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that promote independence, from using the communal lounges, enjoying the gardens and views to utilising the Beauty Salon or meeting friends for a drink in their own ‘York House Tavern’.      

There is a whole range of activities on offer including arts and crafts sessions, gardening, exercise classes, cinema nights, quizzes, musical performances, and pamper sessions. These activities are purposeful and full of self-worth. There is a great variety of activities to try, with new activities added frequently.

The in-house chefs will prepare exceptional food from fresh, seasonal produce that’s locally sourced where possible. Menus will include a mix of delicious and nutritious options including traditional classic meals, Residents’ favourites and exciting international cuisine.

The staff are very proficient and extremely caring. Whenever my father has an issue they are quick to notify me. My father's needs are very complex and he is unable to communicate effectively, however the carers have taken the time to work with him, to understand what he wants and how best to look after
him. I could not wish for my father to be cared for any more than he is. The staff (carers, cleaners, cooks, admin's) are wonderful and it is plain to see that they really do care about the residents. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment.

I cannot recommend this care home enough. My dad has had an amazing final 9 months. The care staff absolutely exceptional at all times. They are caring and attentive to all needs. Above and beyond at all times! Exceptional food always offered, clothes kept well and all needs catered for. Brilliant activities
programme and Christmas was such a fun time with different things happening every day. I cannot thank them enough.

Mam is being cared for very well. Staff are great, caring and friendly. She feels safe and I am content she is looked after and is safe. I visit every day and I see for myself the care that is invested by the staff to make the residents feel at home.

This is a well run care home. My mother is in there and she is well looked after. She is treated with care and dignity. Staff and management are great good job done by all.

Clipstone Hall and Lodge is an extremely well run care home where the management and staff provide exceptional care and support for the residents. The rooms and facilities are kept spotlessly clean, the food is very good and the menu varied and every effort is made to keep the residents occupied and

The corridors are bright and clean with very comfortable individual rooms going off. Two floors are in regular use. There are two lounges on each floor. The upper floor residents use their lounges regularly and I wish the ground floor lounges were used more, they are comfortable. Instead some residents
spend hours in the dining rooms. The activities group is making advances and use them. The staff always treat the residents kindly even when they are short staffed. One thing I cannot get used to is the amount of noise in the corridors some nights. The staff call to one another and the residents play music and have televisions on after 11pm and before 8am even with bedroom doors open. The food is fair, mostly from frozen foods and repetitive. I enjoy the puddings. The rooms have some cleaning each day but the laundry can take some time to return. I am leaving soon but I have been promised I can come back if I need the support. The place is the problem. There are very large trees around the building which in Summer makes some rooms very dark and then in Autumn the billions of leaves cover the footpaths which makes them very dangerous for those who like a bit of fresh air and exercise.

We agree that the dining room is in use more than the lounges however that is from residents choice and not those of the Clipstone team. I can confirm that a fraction of the food used at the home is frozen (some vegetables) however the majority of the menu is cooked from fresh daily. Also agree the desserts and puddings are enjoyable. In respect of the other points raised I have passed these on to the home manager who will discuss them further to see how we can improve.

My mum is always treated with respect, dignity and care. If she needs anything, the staff let me know. The staff are always friendly as well as hard working. They always interact with the residents and have a laugh with them and us. I am always kept informed of mum's care plan and any updates. If I
have any queries, they are always happy to help.

Mum has been staying here for around a year and a half. We've always found staff very approachable and helpful. The care mum has received has been second to non, the food and drink first class, I couldn't recommend Clipstone Hall and Lodge highly enough. Along with my father and sister, we visit regularly
and have always found mum's dementia needs to have been met above and beyond. A very well deserved thank you to all of the staff and management.

My brother moved to Clipstone Hall and Lodge in June 2024. He has learning difficulties and can be a bit grumpy sometimes. The wonderful staff have dealt with this with kindness and patience. Otherwise, he is very happy and contented. All the staff are great and he interacts with them well. The meals
are all home cooked and very tasty and nutritious. It is a happy place to live and work. Everyone takes the time to talk to you. The bedrooms are spacious, en-suite and kept very clean. My brother has recently had a terminal diagnosis and the staff, from the manager down, are very caring and helpful.
I would recommend Clipstone Hall to anyone.

My Mother came to Clipstone Hall and Lodge for respite. On arrival her room wasn't ready, also she didn't have a remote to prop up not lay down. Mum enjoyed the company of other residents and said the food was lovely. More than enough. The only downside was when I had booked a cut and blow-dry, in the
end, she had a trim and was sat on the commode. All staff that I met were lovely.

I cannot find fault with Clipstone Hall. A big shout out to all your staff including the cleaners, office staff and of course the carers. They are all a credit to you.
Mum wasn't the easiest to help once her dementia took hold. But your staff remained professional and empathic. They were outstanding
with all their help and compassion at the end. Not just towards mum, but to me as well. Nothing was too much trouble.
I cannot thank them enough for all their help during the last few months in making sure my mum was cared for and looked after.

When I visit my friend in the home he is always well cared for by the friendly and efficient staff who have got to know him and his needs during his time there.
The home is always very clean and calm.
The food is excellent and when I have visited at meal times everyone seems to be enjoying it.

Overall, a positive experience. Great, caring staff. My husband is treated with dignity, no task is too small. I am treated with respect. Always informed about my husband's well-being. The staff are caring towards visiting loved ones and always available for a chat, a supportive shoulder to cry on and
a friendly face. Management are easy to approach and are sensitive to every aspect of my husband's and my care.

Myself, son and daughter can't speak highly enough for Clipstone Hall & Lodge who are currently caring for my wife. The staff are kind and friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. My mother has been in this home for three years and is very happy. The staff look after my mum well and she is happy with all her meals. I always feel welcome when I visit and I leave knowing my mum is safe.
