Orchard House offers the very highest quality of residential care in a converted and lovingly maintained elegant Victorian manor house. It sits in the heart of the lovely village of Ruddington, and only ten minutes drive from the centre of Nottingham.

The home offers a wide choice of comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms for residents to call their own. All residents are encouraged to make their room a special place, by adding treasured possessions, photos, pictures or perhaps a favourite piece of furniture or a much loved chair.

All the staff employed at Orchard House have been chosen not only for their professional abilities but also for their values and caring nature. The home aims to provide the highest quality of care for residents and their families, and this can only be achieved by a compassionate and dedicated team, who treat everyone with dignity, privacy and respect at all times, regardless of their care needs.

The staff at Orchard House also understand that placing a relative in care can be a traumatic experience for family members, so they strive to involve them in everything they do when planning their relative’s care. Families are an important part of the daily running of the home and are encouraged to visit whenever they wish.

As part of the home's help for families they operate an open door management policy allowing them to provide support and advice whenever needed, as well as specific help for those relatives who require detailed information in relation to loved ones who may be living with dementia.

We have appreciated the care, consideration and friendship the staff of Orchard House have given to Mum. It was clear to us that Mum’s dementia required specialist care. We have never had any doubt that we made a wise choice by placing her in Orchard House. It seems to us that Orchard House has a happy
and stable staff who understand the needs of the people they are caring for and are committed to doing only their very best for them and their relatives. We know that Mum felt safe and happy and how she felt is surely the most important aspect of her care. We have never had cause to complain in any way about Mum’s care, treatment or health. We have always been impressed by the range of activities taking place, the overall organisation, calm and sense of purpose. Importantly we knew Mum enjoyed her food. Orchard House has competent and caring staff worth their weight in gold. Overall therefore we cannot thank you enough for the superb care you have given Mum.

As you can see, I have marked everything excellent. My wife has been at Orchard House for approx 4-years, and during that time, she has received the best care possible. When I drive home after a visit (which is daily in normal times), I am happy that she is happy, safe and well cared for.

Orchard House is a very well organised care home. The carer's and staff are brilliant with the residents, helping them with all their daily needs and treating them with care, respect and good-natured banter, which always lifts their spirits, especially my mum. Mum is an insulin dependant diabetic, and
all the staff are very caring towards her condition and her other disabilities. During COVID-19, the care home has made lots of arrangements for families to speak to their loved ones via a laptop or a mobile and even via mobile through the glass door of late. This has been a blessing for families and myself to keep in contact with my mum who I know has been well looked after and happy throughout this pandemic, and the care home has done a wonderful job keeping all the residents and carer's safe. Orchard House has a very large beautiful conservatory that opens onto a wonderfully landscaped garden for the residents to enjoy. I highly recommend Orchard House as a caring care home.

I was very impressed with this care home on my 2 visits.
The friendliness of the management and care staff was immediate on arrival.
So much thought has gone into making the facilities feel like home for the residents.
It was a pleasure to look around and see how much the residents were settled and
happy.
I would not hesitate in recommending this care home to a friend or loved one.

I was worried as to how I would find her, but she is such a happy lady, loves her room and the facilities and all the activities provided. We found the staff to be so caring and friendly.
