Sutton Manor Residential Home is a lovely welcoming home well suited to the needs of forty-five residents, with some dual occupancy rooms also available.

Carers look to maintain a good social atmosphere while encouraging residents in the pursuit of an active and fulfilling lifestyle, with all dietary needs met and evening events that relatives and loved ones can join in with. The activities coordinator offers a wide programme ranging from gardening either outdoors or in the greenhouse, knitting, sewing, craft, games and movement to music. Should residents require a little pampering, there is a hairdressers and chiropodist.

Pets are welcome in the home. Current pets include Snowy & Lilly the rabbits.

Shorter respite care requirements are also handled by skilled carers, while Sutton Manor is an excellent environment in which to feel at home throughout a retirement.

Sutton Manor staff are kind, helpful, understanding, food is very good, a good variety of choice. The home is central and easy for relatives to visit. Manager s very nice and all staff are good at what they do as their job is very hard.

As a 78 year old pensioner with a view of not ever going into a care home, I was sent here at 9:30pm and I was not very nice to the carer who took me to my bedroom. I said I was not staying here and I would catch a bus home next day, the next morning I got a full breakfast and at the dinner table I
was face to face with someone who I have known most of my life, after a few days I came to fit in with the daily goings on here. I enjoyed the banter with the carers, as days went by my views of a care home have changed. I commend this home.

The food is very good and good selection on a daily basis. I have enjoyed meeting new people and making friends, the care is very good and the night carers are very good, they come straight away nothing is too much trouble and all the staff have put me at ease as was worried about coming into a care

I am not a good eater but I really enjoyed Sunday roast, the beef was excellent. The staff are lovely and helpful and when I've needed help at night they have been very good, the home is very good and clean.

Carers are friendly and helpful. The care I have received is very good and can't do any more than they do, I especially found my care assistant to be very helpful and she always likes to chat, always promote dignity all staff so and are very patient and understanding.

This was my fathers first time in a care home as he has been transferred from hospital. All of the staff from management to the carers looked after my father so well that he has said that he would gladly return. The home is spotlessly clean with excellent facilities in the bedrooms. My father was also
struggling emotionally as he had to be separated from my mother who has dementia. Every staff member supported my father with this. The Rics team were excellent in nursing him back to his full health. Thank you.

Always made welcome. Sutton Manor is always clean and always given a choice to have a meal with my mother. I've got now worries about the care my mother receives. Carers are excellent always make me feel welcome I could not wish for any better.

I enjoy the company, carers are very good. I have been coming for day care, respite care for 2 years, I enjoy this as it means I am not on my own and I am with people I know as I feel safe and am well looked after and nothing is too much trouble. I have made lots of new friends. My family have noticed
that when I've been here I go home happier and coming has given me more confidence.

Carers are very caring and helpful. You can always go to the manager for information and advice, I like that when the doctor or nurse has been to see my mum that a member of senior staff call me to inform me of outcome of visit and there is always a friendly homely atmosphere. On looking for accommodation for my dad when i first came in to enquire I was greeted with a warm welcome. When being shown round everywhere was clean and tidy, the room was beautiful and everyone seemed happy and content. Now over a period of time my dad is very happy and my dad and myself have built
up a good rapport with the staff. I'm very happy with the care my dad receives as he relies heavily on people to help him with day to day chores. A big well done to all at Sutton Manor Residential Home.

She has worked for Ashmere for well over a decade but has previously worked a multitude of care roles before her arrival with us.
