I am very pleased with all the help that has been given to my aunt since she went into the home. She eats well and is always clean and tidy. They let you know how things are going on with her, I am happy with all the staff.

I visited the home today and I wanted to express my thanks to all the lovely care staff and management. My grandmother is cared for at the highest level and she very much loves living at The Troc. The staff always make her feel special and are friendly and professional at all times.

As far as I can ascertain my mother is being well looked after at The Troc.
One comment I would make is that when visiting my mother space is at a premium but this is a problem in most care homes.
Also, a suggestion would be to inform relatives of residents, periodically, about the well-being of the
person concerned.

Mother has been in The Troc for three years and in that time has been well cared for and is as happy as her dementia allows. Although she is often unaware of where she is and who people are, she is always treated with care, friendliness and dignity, even when she is being somewhat trying!
She enjoys
her food and has put on weight since being at The Troc, and we appreciate the effort that goes into providing an appetising and balanced menu.
Many of the staff show acts of kindness that go beyond their duty. They are genuinely kind and caring, even when very busy, and always find time to make us feel welcome, offer us a drink, and ask how we are. There is always someone available to talk to if we have any concerns about mother, and we are kept well-informed of her health and well-being. When we visit mother she is always clean and tidy.
We would like to express our thanks to the management and staff for their care and support, and we could not be happier with our choice of the care home.

The Troc is ok most of the time but sometimes it seems understaffed. I have commented on this once or twice. It could do with being decorated. My Mum's room and the lounge area are really ready. The carers are really good and they do their best.

A suprise visit to an uncle I had not seen for a number of years as I was in the area on a family visit. On arrival, I was made to feel very welcome and offered a cup of tea by a very pleasant member of staff. During my visit, it was obvious that my uncle was extremely content and happy with his life
at The Troc. The staff, environment and atmosphere made a very good impression upon me. A very warm and caring home with superb staff.

I have found The Troc to be a very warm and friendly home. The residents all appear to be happy and well cared for. I visit my friend regularly and she is really happy there. The food is delicious and I have been invited to stay with my friend for lunch as I travel quite a distance to visit her. I have

My mother has been a resident at The Troc for about five years. While she has been here I have seen a significant improvement in many areas - staffing, decor, atmosphere, food and definitely management. The home has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and staff are very cheery and pleasant to residents
and visitors alike. Always happy to hear family's concerns and quick to act. Would definitely recommend.

My husband, who has Alzheimer's Disease, had several separate weeks' respite care at The Troc from March to May 2016, and entered full-time care in June. I can't speak highly enough of the quality of care he received, and of how well he was looked after. The manager and her team of care assistants pull
together to make the place feel like home for their residents. Sadly, my husband's illness proved to be at a stage for which staff were not equipped - no criticism, as it is a home for the elderly and makes no claims to offer specialist dementia care - and he had to move on. I was sorry about this. The manager and her team offer exemplary, trained, compassionate care, and my husband was relaxed and happy there. If you're looking for quality of care above 5-star hotel status, I'd recommend that you visit The Troc. It's not purpose-built as some new care homes are, but it's a pleasant and comfortable place where people get decent, dignified and compassionate care - that's what counts.

Excellent compassionate care given to mother during transitional after hospital stay. Sympathetic encouragement saw her go from bedridden state to mobility. I cannot thank the staff enough for their thoughtful and cheerful attitude.

I find this a wonderful and stimulating place to be when elderly. My Nan is looked after excellently, as she is at the end of life stage now. The staff are 100% dedicated to her wellbeing. Although not able to communicate now, the staff continue to chat to her during the time they're seeing to all her
needs beautifully. The manager (since taking over from the last one) has turned the home into a fantastic place to be. Other residents look so much happier, and there's always, a peaceful tranquil feeling to the 'Troc' now. The residents look clean, and certainly tuck into their well prepared and lovely meals. I would never want a better home than 'The Troc' for my nan to spend her latter days in; I would recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent home for their relations/friends.

My relative has been in this home for three and a half years. Now on end of life programme which was implemented October 2014. The care is upmost excellence, at no time has there been a 'slip up' of her care, beautifully keeping free of pressure sores, bruising, changing of inco pads, bathing and feeding.
Hydration has been kept totally under control, this resident has been in bed since October 2014, turned two hourly, and sat with through the night. Family and friends are greeted at the care home door, when visiting, offered a cup of tea and always seen by a member of staff to give an update report. When this resident was able to sit and communicate with other residents was a very stable person. This place is excellent.
