Thank you so much for your review, it brought a lump to my throat when I read this out to the staff today. The staff in the home truly do try so hard to make sure all the residents are happy and safe and respect their choices. I think it's important to note that there are days that some of the residents may not want to join in activities and that is absolutely fine. Dad is absolutely able to walk round the home and will often nip into the office just to see that we are ok (and also because he knows that he will get a cuppa and some chocolate). Thank you again for taking the time to write this.

We do understand what a huge decision it is to move into a care setting and especially for those having to make the decision on behalf of a loved one. Beechville is a lovely home and the staff who come and work here truly care for all those who live here, they understand the anxieties of the families and will do all they can to support and give reassurance. She really does enjoy the activities and will try and join in with the majority. Regarding the reporting – everyone here at Beechville believes that transparency is key and understand the importance of being open and honest. I could not agree more in regards to all the staff, from carer to kitchen to domestic to laundry - they really are here for the residents and the majority are long-standing staff who have been here years and absolutely love the home. In regard to our activities person – I don’t think I have ever worked with anyone with as much energy. So thank you again and we will see you soon.

Thank you so much for this review. It's always so worrying for families, friends and advocates when someone moves into a home. There are so many anxieties around ‘have we done the right thing’ and as much as the staff in the home will try and ease the anxieties it's not until you really get to know the staff, the home and everyone involved in it that anxieties ease a little. Mum really has settled in well. I know the staff absolutely adore her. The review is so lovely to read, especially since Mum has not been here long. I will of course share this with the staff.
