I consider Bankfield to be an excellent care home. With COVID-19 the staff and management have all stepped up and gone the extra mile looking after my Mum and keeping me well informed on how she is and nothing is too much trouble. When you ring for information they help me as much as they do by Mum,
by keeping her safe for me.

I am overall very happy with the care home. I believe my Mum is well looked after. The staff and management are lovely, helpful, and understanding. My only complaint, if any, is I feel Mum could be stimulated more with different activities. Though I also understand that has been more difficult in recent
months.

My mother and I viewed Bankfield Care home in February 2020 and she decided to move there after giving notice (one month) at her present home at the time. I took her in lockdown April 18th to Bankfield so have not seen the premises myself since. I have, due to lockdown only just seen my mother for 1
1/2 hours since then. However, based on this very little information and the telephone contact I have had with the staff, she appears very happy and looks well. It is perhaps the wrong time during the lockdown in a pandemic to do a survey. They have done an excellent job, the staff ensuring every person has been well cared for though.

My father has resided at Bankfield for the past 18 months. In my opinion, it is a well organised care home. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The overall standard is excellent and the cleanliness is to a high standard. The health and safety of the residents is a high priority and always treated
with dignity. I would highly recommend Bankfield and it is certainly good value for money.

My mum has now been in Bankfield for over 18 months and I can't give enough praise to each and every one of the staff who are so kind, dedicated and empathetic!!
Especially during the COVID crisis where obviously no proper contact with Mum has been possible, the staff have taken the time to ensure
that myself and family have had regular video call contact with Mum whenever we want along with text updates concerning the home generally!
Even through these hard times, as a result of the efforts of the staff at Bankfield, we know that we can all sleep well in the knowledge that Mum is being looked after like royalty!
I and my family could not recommend Bankfield highly enough!! You are all brilliant and thanks for all your care!!

The consistent dedication, commitment, patience, perpetual smiles, humour and “nothing is too much trouble” attitude of all the staff, whether they’ve had a good day or a tough day, is a huge differentiator for Bankfield.
The facilities are light, fresh, clean and very importantly, odourless. The rooms
are ample rather than large but kept spotlessly clean.
My mum’s been in Bankfield now for 8+ months. There was no care home in second place when a decision needed to be made; Bankfield was a head and shoulders, above other care homes I visited. It costs a little more than the minimum but never has “you get what you pay for” echoed so true.
The staff have so much to be proud of for keeping Covid-19 out of Bankfield. The responsibility on their shoulders and the sacrifices the staff made to put residents before seeing their own families leaves me speechless.
One area I’d like to see improved is activities; both for the resident with mental capacity, and those with dementia.

My mum moved into Bankfield as a matter of urgency 2 years ago. Her dementia had become so bad she was unable to remain in her own home as she was no longer safe. I was worried sick and riddled with guilt that mum had to go into care. Bankfield have been amazing and I have nothing but praise and thanks
for the genuine, loving care they have all shown my mum. Thank you Bankfield.

I viewed several care homes before choosing Bankfield as by far the most welcoming and homely. I have not been disappointed. My relative has dementia which was aggravated by the recent loss of her husband, causing her to be quite difficult on occasions but the staff at Bankfield could not have been
more caring and considerate. My relative has now been in residence for 2 and a half years and is as happy and contented as her illness will allow.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough, they obviously enjoy their work and this is shown in the way they treat the residents and the fact that staff turnover is extremely low, benefits the residents as they all seem to view each other as friends. The home is well equipped, extremely clean and fresh smelling.

Lovely comfortable home. Caring staff. Grandma happy and well looked after. Cosy nice bedroom with everything she needs.
Having activities such as board games, music, knitting etc would be much better for the residents.

My friend is a permanent resident in here as she was not safe to look after herself in her own home anymore at the age of 90 and her health was deteriorating due to her forgetting her medication. Since being in here for over 2 years and having the loving care that she has been having and needed. I am
hoping to celebrate her 100th Birthday. I have been at rest 100% knowing that my friend is in the best possible safe place to be in to be taken care of. All the staff here are very helpful, friendly, always on hand to have a chat. If you have any concerns they are always willing to deal with it in the utmost professional manner. Nothing is ever to much trouble for them.
Although I have never tasted the food the menu is always varied and will accomodate to each and every need.
The home itself is one of the cleanest care homes I have ever been in. The rooms are always spotlessly clean, they are forever decorating, replacing flooring and furniture.

All the staff and management are very helpful and kind to my mum who has dementia.
Everybody who works at Bankfield are very happy and friendly and answer any questions you have about your relatives care and put my mind at rest knowing she is being well looked after.
I felt guilty putting my mum
in a care home but after looking after her for over a year, every day took its toll on me. The staff helped me to see that she is cared for and happy.
