Excellent care and all the staff are friendly and helpful. My auntie is a long term resident, and she is made to feel comfortable and at home. She is always treated with respect. Her family are always made to feel very welcome when visiting.

When my brother came into this care home he had been at another home where he was in respite and spent most of his time in pyjamas in bed. Since he has been here he has changed a lot and now socialises and goes to eat with other people which is a big improvement.

Mum had to go in for respite for safety reasons, she never wanted to go in a home.
The staff have made her feel welcome and safe, nothing has been a problem. Food is an issue for Mum but the staff have worked with her and she is enjoying her meals.

When I came I could only walk for 2 minutes. Now I can walk 15-20 minutes. They provided me room service for Breakfast, Lunch and tea, the compromised with me that I can have food at my own timings
Provided me pride to keep my own Asian food, wash and iron my clothes.
They provided me with a stool
to rest my feet. They even provided me with an oil radiator as I was not used to 24-hour heating in the home.

The team at Half Acre House Care Home always conduct themselves with exceptional professionalism and treated my mum with care dignity and humour. I would just like to say thank you to the amazing staff at Half Acre Care Home. My Nanna has been a resident of Half Acre for just over 2 years and wow - what a transformation we have seen in her. As a Dementia sufferer, she was very lonely and confused, not eating and underweight when she went into
Half Acre and now she is very healthy, cheerful, happy and loved in her new environment. She loves to join into the endless activities they offer and enjoys to be pampered by the staff - always with a different colour on her nails. Throughout the Lockdown, staff have been in regular dialogue with our family with updates on her health and well-being and we love to see what she and the other resident have been up to on their Facebook page. Thank you for looking after my Nanna. We really value all the staff at Half Acre more than you could ever realise. Thank You.

My father has been cared for at Half Acre for a year and the care and compassion they have shown both to him and us his family has been amazing. Initially, he struggled to adapt to the surroundings however, the staff made him feel welcome and settled and attended to his care needs in a way that the
previous at-home care provider had been unable to. Ultimately we are pleased and reassured that we chose Half Acre for his care. Their precautionary measures during the past few months are to be wholeheartedly commended as we the family feel that our father is in the safest place to be! Thank you.

We recently took the difficult decision to arrange respite care for my dad. Not being able to visit care homes due to the pandemic has made it very difficult to assess suitability for him so reviews such as those on this site have been invaluable. After careful consideration, Half Acre House was the
one we chose. Although my dad has only been there for a week so far I wanted to say that we have been really happy how he has been welcomed and how quickly he has settled already. The team at Half Acre House are available to speak with us on the phone at any time, putting our minds at rest by letting us know how dad is getting on. We really appreciate it. Thank you.

My mum has been a resident in Half Acre for almost 5 years now. We have always found the staff to be friendly and caring. Mum always has a smile on her face and enjoys a good laugh with the staff. The staff are very helpful and keep us up to date with any issues which may arise given that we live some
distance away. We were very grateful to be able to visit mum yesterday in the garden having not been able to see her for the last few months due to Covid lockdown. She was looking very well and happy indeed. As a family, we would like to thank the staff for their speed of reaction in taking the decision to lockdown to protect both residents and staff.

My Dad has been in the care home for 1 year now, he very happy and the staff are brilliant with him. Was the best place we picked for my dad, smiles all round. The staff are always really helpful and nothing is any trouble. My dad sometimes finds it hard to join in with activities but with a little
kind promoting from the staff he will take part. We're very happy with the care my dad receives we have no complaints.

My mum had to go into a short stay care home. She was mentally abused and physically she was not well enough to come and stay with me with battling alcoholism. She went in there in January 2020 and I could not praise the staff enough. I have my mum back again and she is coming out and staying with me
on the 30th of June 2020. Thanks for everything they have done and especially to one member of staff in particular.

My dad is very satisfied there, we are also satisfied, today we were allowed to visit outside in the garden only but it was so good to see him in the flesh as previously only a wave through the window was all the lockdown would allow. All the staff seem to have a relationship with him so he always has
someone to help him. Thanks to all the staff and a big thank you to the member of staff that went to the trouble of getting him into the garden area for our visit.

What can I say, I can't fault the staff for helping my mum get to where she needs to be. At the beginning of the year, my mum was not in a good place mentally, physically and emotionally, and now she's in a better place and back to being a Mum. It's all down to how brilliant the staff have been with

My close friend has lived at Half Acre Care Home for two years, he suffers from dementia and initially, it was unsettling for him moving from his own home as you can expect, but he settled in and now talks of his friends there and how kind they are to him. The reassurance and love they have given to
him means a lot to both of us and has proved that care homes can be another chapter in a long and happy life.
There’s always a friendly atmosphere and they keep me up to date with any issues, giving peace of mind, their safe handling of the Covid-19 issues reflect their professionalism,

This care home has been absolutely fantastic for caring for my Dad. Nothing was too much trouble when we asked them to do things. It was very clean and the meals were fab. All I can say is I am so glad I chose this home for my Dad at his end of life. Thank you so much x
