I’m not a big fan of nursing homes but this one is a good one. My dad has been in the assessment unit for six weeks and will soon become a permanent resident. I can honestly say I like this place.
The staff really do care and are great with the residents. It’s peaceful clean and well looked after.
It
really is a care home that cares. My dad has been well looked after and is very settled. I would definitely recommend this place.

My mam has been a resident in Pemberton Fold for almost two years now. She is settled and is happy there.
The staff are brilliant.
You can call in any time of day and stay as long as you want.
I have no issues at all with the care my mam receives. She is warm, safe and cared for. I feel the staff
really care, and nothing is too much trouble.

I cannot praise Pemberton Fold enough. It is clean, friendly, helpful and so kind to the residents with lots of activities for them to do. Mother passed away this month after being in the home for 4 years. The care and attention we as relatives received from everyone were second to none. I would wholeheartedly
recommend Pemberton Fold to anyone.

The home seems to be run very well.
It's always nice and clean and the residents appear to be looked after extremely well.
They are always clean and neatly dressed in appearance.
The establishment always smells nice and the staff appear to be very kind and caring towards the residents.
I wouldn't
have any hesitation in recommending someone to live there for assisted living

I take a Communion service in the home monthly and a yearly memorial service in May. I am always impressed by the welcome and clean atmosphere. The staff are genuinely caring and the residents always clean, tidy and well cared for. Families I speak to are always complimentary of home and staff.
I
feel the residents physical and spiritual needs are met and respected. A pleasure to be a part of the care given in this home. Well done to all staff members.

My father was treated with respect and dignity during his end of life care. I cannot praise the staff enough. Each one of them did their job with the utmost professionalism whilst maintaining a caring relationship for both my father and us his family at this very difficult time. Even though my father
should have probably been discharged from hospital to nursing care rather than residential.
I could not have wished for better care.

Very good, helpful, clean.
Sometimes when I go in I have to remind them to put a clean towel in her room.

Let me say to begin with - I am not a lover of care homes. That being said I find it hard to express how impressed I am with 'Pemberton Fold'. The building is very well kept with pleasant decor and a feeling of calm and space. It is well run with management available and approachable. The food is fabulous
and there's plenty of it if you want it. The security at the home is excellent. I can't say enough good things about 'Pemberton'. Activities are varied and planned with specific residents in mind, there are also regular functions in the homes' own function room. Although mum has dementia, which is getting progressively worse, she has really flourished in this environment. THE STAFF. They are wonderful!
Nothing is too much trouble. Yes, they do the job they're paid to do - but they really do CARE!!! They KNOW their residents - what they like - who they are!
As I said at the beginning - I do not like care homes - but l don't feel Pemberton Fold is not a care home.......It is a home that CARES!!!

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.250)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.250) out of 10 for Pemberton Fold is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.333 for Pemberton Fold is calculated as follows: ( (52 Excellents x 5) + (23 Goods x 4) + (15 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 93 Ratings = 4.333

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.917 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Pemberton Fold is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 12 = 0.417

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
