It's so lovely that we have you and Erica that come into the home and I know it really does make the residents smile. I would like to thank you for the review for Avonleigh Gardens but I am so sorry you felt the care was only satisfactory and that it would be unlikely that you would recommend the home.
We have truly lovely memories of your Mum and she is very much missed by the staff in the home.
We are not able to force residents to take baths and showers and have to respect their choice and decision. I can see however that she was supported daily with her personal care. I'm sorry you found your Mother's nails in a terrible state. I know the staff in the home take nail care very seriously and I will be looking at this when I visit the care home.
I am also sorry that very few residents would sit and talk to your Mother. Sadly a lot of the residents have dementia and many of them do struggle to communicate well. I am pleased to see that she did seem to enjoy the church services.
I would like to thank you for the card you sent to the staff in the home in January and your lovely words have been passed to the care staff and kitchen staff.
