Dryclough Manor is a luxurious, hotel-style, predominantly purpose built care home, providing high quality care to its residents. Surrounded by an acre of beautiful landscaped gardens and rockeries, the home is a five minutes’ walk from Royton’s shops and amenities and is easily accessible by bus from Oldham and Manchester city centres.

At Dryclough Manor, staff aim to provide the very best facilities and care for all of residents. The dedication and devotion of highly-trained staff has established a reputation as an exceptionally ‘friendly and caring’ home. Residents’ quality of life is greatly enhanced by the comfortable, warm and safe environment that Dryclough Manor provides.

Dryclough Manor is registered with the Care Quality Commission to accommodate 42 residents in 40 bedrooms. All rooms are decorated to a high standard, equipped with telephone and television points, double glazing, central heating, a high tech nurse call system and almost all boast en-suite facilities.

A spacious, well appointed dining room, comfortable, plush lounge and quiet drawing room all overlook the attractive landscaped gardens. Residents are also welcome to take advantage of several sitting areas, a hairdressing salon, a computer corner, two large passenger lifts and off-street parking with level access. The beautiful grounds outside with a summer house and charming water fountain, are perfect for enjoying the fresh air and delightful, picturesque surroundings.

The most positive experience I could have staff are kind, competent engaging and can be approached at any time.

Friendly, caring team from management to care staff. Lots of entertainment going on that my brother-in-law really enjoys. The food looks fantastic and my brother-in-law has gained weight from all the home baking.

A difficult time for me and my husband when we realised that we needed help/care for him. Having found Dryclough Manor what a wonderful, warm, caring place I had for looking after him - super brill emotional care as well because he worried about me. There's not enough words that I can say about the
home and the support they give me as I cried nearly every time because I couldn't look after him. My angels. Thank you.

All members of the staff from care staff to cleaners and kitchen staff showed my mother and myself the utmost respect during the 2 years she was here and helped myself through the bad times of my mother passing away.

My father had to go in to care and I placed him in Dryclough Manor and he absolutely loves it he was always saying I've had my life and wanted to die but now he's got a new lease of life. The staff, from management to the carers, cleaners and kitchen staff are fantastic with all the residents. My dad

Mum has only been at Dryclough since the end of May. She seems to have settled in well. Dryclough is far superior to where Mum was previously. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.


I have had some issues with the laundry with cloths etc being misplaced. On the whole, I'm very happy

and would recommend Dryclough to friends and family.

Could not have chosen a better place for my neighbour. She has been delighted with her room from the first day. Staff go out of their way to be helpful and pleasant.
The home itself is very appealing with all the new decorating.
I always look on the board at meals for the day. They are varied and
what most people would make for themselves at home.

Dad was reluctant about going into care. Choosing a home would prove to be difficult, however, we knew dad would be happy here the moment we stepped into the home. I was bright, spacious and more importantly, it was caring and homely. The managers and care staff went out of their way to ensure dad was
settled in. The care he receives is second to none and dad has gained weight since coming into Dryclough Manor and said: "he wishes he had done it sooner".

Charlotte Goodwin

Job Title: Care Manager

Dryclough Manor is run by our super efficient, wonderfully compassionate Care Manager, Charlotte Goodwin. She has a wealth of experience in nursing dementia care as a Duty Manager for several years, holds a Registered Managers’ Award, NVQ5 in management and has recently joined our wonderful team to lead Dryclough Manor in its quest for excellence in all areas. Our outstanding care team are also dedicated and highly qualified; most have completed NVQ levels 2 or 3. We insist on a high standard of care, so our employees are carefully selected, full induction training is provided and continuing professional development is undertaken by each member of staff. Attentive and compassionate carers are available twenty-four hours a day. The high staff-to-resident ratio enables us to provide companionship and stimulation, as well as tending to your physical needs.
