Royley House was originally built as a sheltered housing project set close to the centre of Royton. In 2000 it was taken over by Rochcare Ltd and transformed into a two storey residential home for older people. 

Nearby are local amenities such as churches, parks, hospital and shops. Transport links are excellent as main roads and motorways are nearby.
Royley House has a private car park to the front and to the rear has a summer house and well maintained flower beds for residents and their guests to enjoy. Royley House has facilities for those who smoke.

The first impression is when you first ring the doorbell, the staff always greet you with a smile. There is always a happy atmosphere from residents and staff. The home is very clean, tidy and I notice that it does not smell. The rooms are like Premier Inn rooms, the floor mat alarms are a comfort to
know someone will come within minutes off it going off. The staff make sure dad is clean and tidy. The laundry service is really good, as soon as he needs his clothes washing, it's done. It's so good that I have asked to put my name down on the waiting list, for when I need a place. 10/10 for everything.

The staff at Royley House go above and beyond what is required! They all really care about every one of their residents. They are entertained on a regular basis, every time I visit I am offered a drink, and everyone looks really happy!

My husband, who has advanced Altzeimer's, has lived in Royley House for over 2 years and I can not ask for him to be better cared for. He and all the other residents are always clean and tidy and there is never any smell as there is in many homes.
The staff are always cheerful and care for him as
though he was their own grandfather.
What more could I ask.

My mother has been looked after over the past 4 years with the utmost compassion and care by all the staff.
I have no reservations whatsoever over her care. All the carers are excellent from management, carers, laundry, kitchen. Mum always looks well dressed and the staff deserve a pay increase for
all their hard work

My mother is and has been looked after with care and compassion over the last four years.
My sister and I have no complaints.
Her clothes are changed every day and my mum always looks well dressed. This is due partly to the excellent staff in the laundry.
All the staff are cheerful and friendly and
deserve more money for their hard work.

Royley House is a well maintained, bright and comfortable care home. It provides excellent care to all residents. They are treated with the utmost dignity and understanding. There are some outstanding staff members who go the extra mile and meet the needs of all residents. The home environment is light
and spacious. It's entirely odourless and comfortable in every respect. I have been a constant visitor to the home over a seven year period and felt quite content with the care given to my Mum over that time. I am delighted to have been "lucky" enough to be offered this placement for my mum - a victim of severe dementia. The care is given to her at the end of life was outstanding. I am truly grateful to the staff.

My name is Gemma and I am the Deputy Manager here at Royley House. I have always had a passion for care since being a young child, I had the opportunity to go along to work with my mum who worked in residential and nursing care throughout my childhood. During my time spent in the homes, I saw the love and care provided by the staff and also gained valuable insights into the intricacies of providing exceptional care. This ignited my passion to enter the care profession. I am driven by the belief that quality care is not just a duty but a calling and I have worked hard to progress in my career which began as a care assistant around 5 years ago. I aim to ensure an outstanding level of care is provided to our residents here at Royley House and is upheld at all times. I look forward to meeting you at Royley House soon!
