My Mum has been in this home for just under two weeks and during that time, the managers are excellent, along with the care team who support her. Nothing is too much trouble and I highly recommend this; thank you again. You all do a fantastic job. Thank you once again.

My mother has been in Meadow View Residential Home for just over two years now and has just celebrated her 94th birthday there. I really can't speak highly enough about the care given and the quality of care staff. Absolutely every effort is made to make every day enjoyable for the residents. My mother
quite simply loves being there and will tell anyone who asks that she really doesn't want to be anywhere else. The effort that all of the staff made to make my mothers recent birthday celebration memorable was above and beyond what I could have expected. I wish to thank all the staff at Meadow View for the continued excellent care given to my mother. Thank you all.

My mother was a resident for just short of 2 months after leaving hospital to recover from covid.
I had no say in her placement at Meadow View but we are so glad that she was sent there.
From the very beginning, the staff were kind and professional. They had very little information from the hospital
so asked if I could 'fill in the gaps'. My mother is partially sighted and deaf, as well as having the start of dementia. The staff couldn't have done any more for her. I'm in awe of their patience and kindness. Once they discovered that Mum loved to be outside in the garden, they facilitated it, they thought up inventive ways to keep her occupied and stimulated. Most of all they were incredibly flexible allowing us to visit around our jobs, letting us take her out for the day and even allowing the great grandchildren to visit. The home is very clean and tidy but without being regimented so my mum honestly felt like she was staying in a hotel! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

My mother has just completed 2 weeks respite at this care home which we chose following recommendation by friends. We couldn't have been more pleased with the care she received from the staff. As a family, we know the difficulties caring for my mother as she can be challenging, however, the staff couldn't
have done more to put our mind at rest. Always a friendly welcome and knowing she was in good hands too helped my father immensely.

Almost a year ago we had to make the very hard decision to hand the care of our very dear friend into 24-hour care. From meeting staff at the initial assessment, we felt at ease about the care that they could offer and we have never had to question our decision. She has severe dementia but is treated
with such care and dignity and we are kept up to date with needs and care plans. All the staff are friendly and approachable and supportive to relatives, realising how hard it is to see your loved ones slipping away. The home is always clean, rooms spotless, money always being spent on decoration updates. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

I would like to express my sincere thanks and admiration for the colleagues at Meadowview. Since my Grandmother became a resident in last few months, I have witnessed the most caring attentive way in which all the colleagues have cared for her until she passed away. Not enough recognition is given
to carers and this team are amazing. Special thanks to all the staff, you were all amazing!

Many thanks once again, Nicola and all the family xxx

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.635)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.635) out of 10 for Meadow View Residential Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

The Average Rating of 5.000 for Meadow View Residential Home is calculated as follows: ( (36 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.635 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Meadow View Residential Home is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 39 registered maximum number of service users is 7.8. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.8 = 0.385

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
