My mum is well cared for in Bamford Court, the staff are all great, especially my mum's carer, she deserves special thanks from all our family. Overall well managed by the manager and her staff.

My dad has been at Bamford Close for just over 12 months and I have visited him several times each week. It is very comforting to me to see Dad being well looked after, with caring, friendly, compassionate staff who regularly review his medication with the visiting GP. The rooms are always clean and
odour-free. There are plenty of activities for Dad to be involved with and he enjoys his meals. Managers have ensured replacement staff meet their high standards.

My mum was a resident at Bamford Close for just over five years and she loved living there.
Sadly, she took ill and ended up in A&E, there was no hope of recovery, so she went back home for end-of-life care and care for her they did, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, her care was second
to none. The staff loved her like she was their own family.
She was at Bamford for five days until she passed and family were with her all the time. The care and kindness we were given was amazing.
We will never be able to thank them enough for all they have done for Mum and the family.

As relatives, we are so relieved that our sister is safe and being so well cared for. Staff are always smiling and cheerful and nothing is too much trouble.
The member of staff who deals with finances is excellent and keeps very clear records. If funds are running low, she lets us know when a top-up
is required.
New clothes are quickly labelled so that nothing gets lost.
The staff really couldn't be any more helpful or kind.
(We do have previous experience of other care homes and this one really is exceptional).

This is the third care home I have experience of and it is, by far, the best. The staff are so kind and caring and the environment of the care home is so clean, bright and cheerful. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and I feel very confident that my mother could not be in better hands.

My mother has settled in very well. She is enjoying herself more than expected.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. The room is small but the fact that the staff get her 'up and running' during the deal means that it is not a problem.
The activities seem to entertain her very well, she even
joins in now.
All in all, I am very happy with the home.

We, as a family, had a very positive time whilst our mum was in Bamford Close. Sadly, she died on 5th August, but the staff were so good. We are a big family, and we stayed with Mum all the time once we realised she was about to die. My sister and her son stayed the night with Mum and one or the other
of our family stayed with her all the time. The staff asked us all the time if we needed anything, food or drinks, etc, they really supported us, explaining what was happening, etc.

Whenever I visit Bamford Close, I am always greeted by one of the carers with a happy, smiling face which makes me feel welcome. The biggest asset of the home is its staff and carers who all do a sterling job of looking after the residents.

My father received end-of-life care. The staff, without exception, treated him with the utmost care and extended that warmth and care to his visiting family. It provided great peace of mind to know my dad couldn't be in a better place or better looked after than he was.

I was quite worried about Mum and Dad going to a home, but the transition was very smooth. My concerns about them being in separate rooms have been listened to, but they seem to have settled well now. All of the staff are absolutely lovely - nothing is too much trouble for them. They are attentive to
Mum and Dad's needs and treat them with respect and dignity. I love that there are lots of activities/entertainment and visits every day, and the coordinator for these is fantastic and extremely good at her job! Medical needs are always met.

From the moment I entered Bamford Close, I was struck by the warm, busy atmosphere and liveliness of the home.
My dad was made to feel so welcome and special as soon as he arrived and I could see him relax and feel safe here. The staff are amazing, treating every one of the residents and each other
with warmth and respect. Now, in end-of-life care, I know my dad is loved and cared for tenderly and our wishes, as his family, are fully supported. Thank you Bamford Close.

From my first visit to Bamford Close, I felt it is a safe place, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. My dad is being cared for with the greatest respect. Everyone cares about all the patients.
He has not been able to take part in any activities outside the home.

The staff couldn't have taken better care of my grandad. They were warm, respectful, and kind during his time in the home and took care of him to the best possible standard. As a family, we were reassured and comforted that the staff at Bamford Close were the ones looking after him, as we knew they
would treat him as they would want their own loved ones to be treated. We will always be grateful for everything that was done for him, such a big thank you to all staff involved.

The overall care, support and attention given to my dear mum during her residency at Bamford Close was very good. During her short stay, of only twelve weeks, in the main, was above and beyond my initial concerns of her transition into your care. The majority of carers and all staff thoroughly treated
and cared for Mum with the dignity, respect and love she deserved and her sudden passing, unexpectedly, was, I observed, a sincere shock to many of you due to your lovely relationships with Mum. Sadly, the opportunity to attend medically to chesty and fever symptoms documented was not taken on two occasions and that is such a regret now.

Since my mother came into your care around 2020, she has received nothing but great treatment and care from the admin management team, unit supervisors and all members of the care staff. The entertainment is fabulous! Giving them good mental stimulation. Bamford Close is the best, cleanest, well-run

We thought the carers and managers were all fantastic with my dad. He was in there 2 years and he was very comfortable and well looked after by all from managers down to the cleaning staff. They all made him feel special which made us feel happy that he was happy. Nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment

We cannot speak highly enough about Bamford Close. Management, carers, entertainment organisers, cooks, cleaners and anyone else I have forgotten.
We are blessed to have found the home for our Dad to spend his final years. So cared for, so well fed, so entertained. Thanks for the extra special care
and dignity during his final week.
If we should ever need to go to a care home this would be our first choice. Bloomin marvellous.

Deborah Whitworth has been a Care Home Manager for over 10 years and has worked at Borough Care since November 2021. Deborah started off as a Care Assistant 30 years ago and worked her way to Senior Care, Team Leader, and Nurse Aid before becoming a Manager in 2010. She loves working in care because she likes to make a difference in residents’ lives and ensure they are happy and cared for.
