Thank you for your positive comments regarding our staff team and how appreciative you are of the care and attention they give to our Residents. You are correct in pointing out that we have had changes in Home Management over the past 11 years. It is quite normal in this industry for staff to move around and this has not had a detrimental effect on the service provided by the home. HC-One aspires to deliver kind quality care to all our Residents at all times.

What does kindness mean to you?

As a dedicated Home Manager, Joanne has gained many years experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.
Joanne shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Joanne remarked:
“Making a difference.”
Outside of work, Joanne enjoys spending time with her family, she has a one-year-old grandson who she says, “Has turned my world upside down, for the better.”
Joanne describes her biggest achievement in life was studying and qualifying as a nurse whilst being a single parent.
