I can't begin to explain what makes Ambleside Bank stand out. It is everything you would wish for your loved one.
The kindness of every one of the staff, the care given with respect and dignity, the lovely meals served in pleasant surroundings, the activities and outings all go to make Ambleside the
amazing place it is.
We are so grateful our loved one was cared for so wonderfully. We cannot thank you enough.

Ambleside Bank Care Home is a special place. We are so pleased that our mum spent the last year of her life surrounded by such caring and dedicated staff. The carers took time to get to know her individual needs and interests and provided care and support in a professional and friendly manner. They
provided a good range of regular activities and experiences including games, pamper days, singers, themed meals and trips out in the minibus. She couldn't have been better looked after. The home was clean and bright and Mum was able to take her own belongings to make her room cosy and familiar.
As a family, we feel we were always welcomed and staff took time to speak to us and explain how she was keeping.

My mother was looked after very well. All staff were sensitive and considerate of her needs. She was made comfortable, and her safety was of paramount importance. I could not have wished for a happier more caring final home for my mother.

Our family have always found the management and staff most helpful and a huge support to both my mum and the family. We are really grateful for everything that is done for Mum which continues to be of

My cousin has been a resident at Ambleside Bank for around 4 years and the staff have been excellent in all aspects of care. Due to having medical problems myself, I had been unable to visit recently and was worried but I knew my cousin was in good hands and today's visit proved that all was well and
my cousin was happy.

I moved my 90-year-old mother with dementia into Ambleside Bank this week and I have to say I am bowled over by how impressive and amazing all the staff have been. The team are caring and excellent and they instantly made my mum feel at home and special. She already loves it. The facilities are spotless
and extensive and lots of activities are in place. It is friendly, spotless and has an amazing atmosphere.

A vast range of activities to keep residents happy and stimulated. Always friendly staff who take time to talk and more importantly listen. Residents' rooms are spotless. Genuine lovely feel when you enter.

Mum is really happy here and she enjoys the food. The staff are excellent, should be more on the weekends. It always seems to be a happy place to work and live there, what I have seen. Staff should be paid more, it's a hard job to do. Don't understand why private pays more than council if it's not a
lot because she is losing her house money already living here.

The atmosphere when you walk into Ambleside Bank is very welcoming and the staff are very friendly and always on hand for a chat. The day trips they have taken the residents out are brilliant and the events coordinator is a diamond. The manager and her deputy are a great team and with their leadership,
they have brought Ambleside Bank on so much. Well done everyone in the team, needs a pat on the back from the girls in reception to the maintenance man to the chefs. Well done.

Since my auntie has been a resident at Ambleside Bank since around July last year, I have nothing but praise for the home. They really care for the residents, and they treat them like their own family. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the home is spotlessly clean, and the food really is good.
Cannot praise the home enough; it really is first class, and my auntie is so happy there.

Dad was always adamant he wasn't ever going to a care home. However, we eventually found this home and instantly knew it would be perfect. He absolutely loves it here. It's spotlessly clean. He's so well cared for, and the staff are so lovely and caring. I can highly recommend it.

Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, it makes me happy knowing how much my dad is looked after and loved, they have trips out regularly, always activities going on, my dad has been there two years now and never had one issue with them. It's so clean.

My grandad has been here for around 18 months now. We couldn't have put him anywhere better! An absolutely tremendous home, they go above and beyond for the residents in general. My grandad really enjoys his time here. He regularly goes on days out with them! And they've gone out there way to make a
room for the gents with domino's darts and a bar which is amazing.
Thank you for everything you do for him. We wouldn't want him to be anywhere else.

It's a great home with very friendly staff, my only complaint is they don't put Mum's bra on every day and it should be down to personal care. Mum loves it there and says she is well looked after. They do a lot of activities with them plus one-to-one.

Mum has really settled there now, she has been there a while now, at first she was unsettled and wanted to go home but now she enjoys joining in playing bingo and dominos and also when they have days where they play games mum joins in too. All the staff are excellent they really look after the residents
and when you have a problem they fix it straight away. It's a really good home for the elderly

Absolutely made up with the progress our mum has made here. Warm, caring, friendly place which has recently been refurbished, very clean place.
Our mum loves the food served here and I have even been told if we book in advance we can have lunch with her. This has taken so much pressure off the family
knowing she is so happy.
