Lovely care home. Had a lovely feel to it when I went to look round. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. They all appear very caring towards the residents. It has obviously been a difficult year for all the families, residents and staff, but the staff have done what they can to assist. It was
lovely to be able to have balcony visits to see my Dad and then just before Christmas, the room they had adapted for visits was great and lovely that I could see my Dad on Christmas Eve - it meant a lot.

My 96-year-old mother has been resident for 3 years, she has always been well card for and treated with dignity and considers all staff her family - even more so this year with so few family visits. On every visit (1 live 100 miles away) I am aware of the friendly working ethic of all the staff, which
is felt by all who live there. Thanks to all for keeping my mother safe this year.

All the staff are very friendly and helpful and have been great through the pandemic, keeping us informed and allowing us to see Dad from a safe distance from the balcony which has given us peace of mind.
They were also very kind and helpful after the death of my mum, taking care of Dad and helping
him deal with his loss.

My mother went into Woodlands Court for a respite stay and following admission to hospital, returned for end of life care. The care staff and management were excellent and treated my mother and all our family with love, care and dignity. I would highly recommend it.

Just a brilliant place. So glad we chose Woodlands Court for my mum. Put my mind at ease from when we first walked in.
Brilliant staff. Always smiling. Would do anything for you. Nothing is too much to ask. Lovely rooms and the food is exceptional. Would highly recommend Woodlands Court to anyone.

I have viewed most of the home in Wigan but knew that Woodland Court was the one that would be suitable for my friend due to the high standards that I was looking for. Friendly and caring management and staff. Very professional at all times. No matter what time of day I visit Woodlands has a welcoming
and friendly atmosphere. It is odour free and always smells clean. Any questions or requests have been dealt with immediately. The general atmosphere by staff and residents is amazing, and I have confidence that I have chosen the right place.

My dad has Altzheimer's. We were worried that if we put him into a home he would deteriorate quite quickly! In fact, it was quite the opposite. We should have done it sooner. He absolutely loves it at Woodlands Court. He is always smiling and laughing. It is lovely to see. This is thanks to the amazing
staff that work there. They are always happy too and so kind and caring. They do lots of activities and always give 200%! So 'thank you' so much to everyone that works there. We can't thank you enough.

The care staff are very friendly and are completely committed to ensuring that all residents are cared for and respected.


The home is not ideally suited in its layout however the care staff and management are compensating by the décor and stimulation provided.

My mother was a resident for a short time, sadly died 28/12/17. Mum had complex health needs and staff addressed these, were kind, attentive and caring, making sure she felt safe there. Given a lovely room with own bathroom facilities which was so important. We also moved her own new double bed into
the room. Lounge, bright, comfy area with television where Mum liked to be with other residents and staff around her. The family know the present Manager form when Dad was there. She is perfect in all aspects of her post and deserves to be praised.

My mother was taken here after a brief spell in hospital.
She suffered from Alzheimer's but liked her time here.
She made a lot of friends amongst residents and staff.
She really enjoyed the activities such as painting, drawing, singing and dancing.
The management and staff could not have been more
helpful and attentive.
The home was always clean and fresh and the food was great for my mum.
Thank you to all at Woodlands Court for everything over the last two years.

The staff at Woodlands Court are the backbone of its success as a care home. I thought that during my first weeks as a resident and still feel the same on my return here. The staff members who looked after me made no fuss, just got on with the job, usually with a smile. Overall I found how Woodlands
as good as any of the 3 care homes I had stayed in previously - and better than most. On the debit side, I found that residents were sometimes made to wait too long for meals to be served. I disliked the home's toilet paper - which in terms of strength, is too frail.

Following several visits during and after moving my wife's mother to Woodlands Court my observations are as follows:- 1: Staff friendly and supportive. 2: New room fully decorated with new furniture, clean and tidy. 3: Caring visits by staff during our time with my mother in law resolved any minor issues
we raised. 4: Food seemed adequate. 5: Day trips motivating and useful. Our only criticism is my mother-in-law needs urgent attention to her feet/toe nails and podiatrist visits have been lacking! We are surprised to read the latest report stating inadequate service. This has not been our experience at all! Clearly, some problems have been observed which we hope will be resolved with the inspector's support.

My mum has settled in straight away. The staff are excellent and mum loves them all. The manager and deputy manager are always available to help and are very friendly and easy to approach. My mum likes to be independent and the staff help to maintain this. Mum has been ill a couple of times and the
staff were excellent on these occasions. I do think the food could be better menu-wise, but they do try to give a choice. I would like to see more activities and stimulation for the residents it has improved recently but maybe more could be done.

The staff and management are amazing we cant fault them in anyway. Everything is perfect where my nan is and is very warming to know she is in good hands. If she's asks for anything she needs staff will let us know and they take her for her dinners and teas which look very nice and she never complains
about anything she loves living at the home and everything about it. The manager is very nice and a great person who cares about all the staff and residents and family members. Anything what needs fixing the handy man always come and fixes it as soon as he can. If the staff have any concerns they will let you know about anything they can about my nan. She is proper looked after and I would recommend the home to anyone.
