From first greeting to taking me to see my friend, your kindness and care cannot be improved or bettered, having visited many similar places I can say from experience that there is no better place where people can be cared for, thank you to all the staff who always treat me well, and I go home knowing
that my great friend is in safe hands.

My mother is a resident of Benridge Care Home, she is very happy with in the home, she is always clean and well cared for, she has made good friend with one of the residents. Staff are excellent always friendly and welcoming. I would always recommend the home due to its homely atmosphere, the food is
fresh and cooked on the premises daily. I have no concerns about the care my mum is receiving, I can call anytime throughout the day, and if I have a question it will always be answered by staff. I highly recommend the home, especially to anyone living with dementia.

My mother suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and has been at Benridge Care Home for nearly a year. The staff have been wonderful with her. She has put on weight and looks much healthier. The senior healthcare assistant and the staff are lovely and they recently moved Mum to a ground-floor room as her
mobility isn't great. After caring for Mum for three years, I am now reassured that she has 24-hour care and is happy, safe and well.

Mum's been here since 2014, and during that time, her care has been fantastic. Her needs have been met on every occasion, especially over the last twelve months, as her health has deteriorated. The staff at the home are great - anything Mum needs, the home accommodates. Our family feel that we are always
involved in Mum's care and are welcome every time we visit.

I have been very pleased with the care that my sister received over the past 6 years until her death on 11/6/23.
Staff at the home have always been very caring and I have not had a moment of anxiety other than she was being cared for to the highest standard.
My sister was always well-groomed and well
dressed and her room was very clean and welcoming. Her clothing in the wardrobe was always well presented.
Staff at the home (including the chef) have always been welcoming and there was always a birthday cake and a birthday tea for her and the relatives.
It is the care and support that sets any home apart from others and the home led by the manager was exemplary.
At the end of my sister's life, the home continued to be supportive of the next of kin and I thank them sincerely for their care.

The home was so welcoming for the Christmas period. It was decorated beautifully! I was able to FaceTime and see the wonderful meal that was prepared too. Benridge Care Group has navigated COVID brilliantly and kept our loved ones safe from harm. All I can say is - thank you all. God bless.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.307)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.307) out of 10 for Benridge Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.881 for Benridge Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (53 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 59 Ratings = 4.881

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.426 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Benridge Care Home is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 27 registered maximum number of service users is 5.4. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 5.4 = 0.926

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
