Cloisters is a warm, welcoming home from home for all residents. The detached, Victorian house is characterful and spacious, with landscaped gardens to explore and breathe in the fresh seaside air.

The team take pride in offering comfortable bedrooms and immaculate facilities to ensure every stay is personal and exceptional. They encourage residents to personalise their bedrooms and families to visit at any time. The home provides two large living rooms and a separate dining room – and the team always ensure that a cup of tea is on hand to welcome visitors.

Cloisters from The Tides group is a twenty-bed care home in Merseyside. It’s situated in a quiet cul de sac, within five minutes’ walk of Blundellsands railway station and bus route and just moments from the sea. There are churches within walking distance, catering for all denominations, and local amenities such as the library, parks, the seafront promenade and cafés are within easy access.

Keeping things personal at Cloisters Care Home

Cloisters Care Home prides themselves on the standard of care the team brings to each resident. They love learning as much as they can about the people they care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual needs, interests and preferences. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea, and everything in between.

The team give as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run the home and if they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, they’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, they’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.

Cloisters Care Home is a magical place. The staff here are compassionate, respectful and professional.
Dad had complex dementia needs, could be vocal and challenging and had physical assistance needs that required high levels of support. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Dad was kept immaculately
clean and treated with dignity every day.
In spite of his dementia, he would always comment that the staff here are great. I agree 100%.
If you are looking for a caring home with excellent leadership and staff, I wholeheartedly recommend Cloisters to you.

Super facilities and lovely staff.
The care home had a lovely and friendly atmosphere and exuded kindness from everyone. I would certainly consider the home for my elderly relatives when they require care.

Our father was a resident at the care home for just under 1 year. We, as a family, are very happy with the level of care and the attention all the staff gave to him. We were really struggling to look after him for a while, and once he went to Cloisters Care Home, life became better for him and for us
all. We were happy in the knowledge he was being cared for 24 hours a day, by such caring individuals. It's a great home and we would recommend it to any family considering this option.

We are very happy with the care for my wife. She has been at the home for 6 months and although it has been sad to not live together, she is very well looked after. We could not be happier with how she is treated and how I am always welcome.

My mum is a resident at Cloisters Care Home. She has advanced Alzheimer's. Since becoming a resident here in 2020, the staff have been nothing but amazing in caring for my mum. They are attentive, compassionate and ensure she is safe and comfortable all the time. They have been a great support to me
too, making sure I'm fully informed and help me with dealing with other professionals. As my mum entered the home during the Covid pandemic this was really important and reassuring. I am yet to see the full inside of the home due to restrictions but what I have seen is always clean, warm and homely.

My lovely mum went into the wonderful care of the Cloisters team in October 2021, suffering from vascular dementia and terminal cancer. Sadly, mum recent passed. For the whole time, Mum was in the care of the excellent team, she was treated with the utmost dignity and affection. Mum was never talked
down to and the staff went over and above to care for her. Nothing was too much trouble and their kindness and patience were paramount. Mum genuinely felt safe and happy during her time at Cloisters and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.
