Some rooms could do with an upgrade.
Contacting staff by phone could be better.
On the whole, seems a satisfactory and homely care home!

The staff at the nursing home were very kind.
They were always there to help me.
They looked after me all of the time.
Nothing was too much for them.
I am very grateful to them for looking after me.
I had a very good experience at this nursing home. I would recommend it to friends and family.

My mother was admitted to the care home from hospital and from the moment she arrived she was cared for with the utmost dignity, compassion, and professionalism. The staff were welcoming, warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to help my mother settle into the home. I felt assured at all times that
the high standard of care was maintained due to excellent management and the staff's dedication to the residents and their colleagues. I cannot recommend this home highly enough. Well done to all staff involved in my mum's care.

Leaving a care home review isn't something I ever thought I would do.
We never got to choose where my nan went, she was discharged for end of life care and that's exactly what the staff at Lezayre did. Through difficult covid times, they made the whole process as comfortable as possible. Nothing was
too much trouble. The staff made us as a family feel like we belong there - even though she wasn't a long term resident. I can't thank them enough. Care and compassion is something they do well.

My poor step-mum spent her last weeks here. Her care was amazing and even under the awful circumstances of Covid in her last hours they supported us, her family and gave her dignity tenderness and compassion until the end. Thank you.

Well, never thought I would be writing a review for a care home but here goes.
My mother never wanted to be in a care home so we tried our best as a family to keep her in the comfort of her own home for as long as possible including having a care company go in 4 visits a day and a night visit but unfortunately
my mother was not getting the care she needed.
My mother told me she wanted to go into a care home to be looked after properly and so after a lot of stress and worrying I found Lezayre Nursing Home and I was heartbroken the day we moved my mother in and I mean heartbroken. My mother has been in the home just under a week she has settled in wonderfully and the staff are all amazing and all seem to have a lot of time for the people they care for and nothing is too much trouble for them.
The manager is very approachable and friendly and makes you feel welcome and without her, I think I may just have lost the plot so to speak so thank you.

Our Dad went into Lezayre Nursing Home in January this year as he has Dementia. We cannot praise enough the manager and the staff for the exceptional care they gave Dad, they made our family feel very welcome when we visited Dad. They treated him like he was part of their family. The manager was extremely
kind and helpful all throughout Dad's stay. He then had to move to an EMI Nursing home due to his Dementia getting worse.
We couldn’t recommend this home highly enough.

Further to my last review I sadly have to now write a review to praise Lezayre's staff and management for their outstanding end of life care that has made my mum's passing so much easier. It was peaceful and calm and dignified. I was made comfortable and welcome for the 2 days and nights that I stayed
there with my beautiful mum as she died. The staff have always been very loving and they all said their goodbyes to her. Thank you all so much.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.768)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.768) out of 10 for Lezayre Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.968 for Lezayre Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (92 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 4.968

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lezayre Nursing Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 registered maximum number of service users is 7.2, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
