Sandstones in Wallasey is situated within a mile of the River Mersey estuary on the Wirral. The home provides residential and dementia care for up to 35 customers in homely and comfortable single ensuite rooms and continues to welcome new residents.

My mum moved into Sandstones in July 2015, and as a family who supports mum we have never looked back, it was lovely, welcoming, as soon as we viewed it we liked it. Mum moved in on 25th July 2015, we asked about own furniture and it was allowed, so we brought a small double bed, chair, tv. The laundry
was organised on a room basis, which was no problem and if extras wanted to be washed that was no problem to the laundry staff. Mum says Sandstones is comfy, lovely, decent, friendly, nothing to have to do is a problem to the staff. I like the home, the staff, the furniture, the facilities. Special days are advertised, menus are printed for these occasions. Bingo is offered, which mum enjoys especially when she wins.
The food is great, there is plenty of it, mum just grazes all day, which I am happy about, at least she isn't going hungry, which was an issue in a previous home.
Sandstones, thank you, you have settled my anxiety, worrying, fear. I will always promote your good name.

Mum has been a resident here since September 2015.
Staff are extremely pleasant and welcoming. They are genuinely caring.
Facilities are good and have improved recently with the redecoration and the "All our Yesterdays" area which is a good idea.
Always clean and fresh smelling. Mum enjoys the extremely
well cooked and tasty meals.
Such a good idea that you call the rooms flat and have a letterbox in the door and a "kitchen" area,
I feel confident that mum is well cared for. Thank you.

My friend has been resident since 2010 and the home has changed over time but in an extremely positive way. The décor is much more 'user-friendly' and really does feel like 'home from home'. The staff ensure that they know the residents well and care for them as individuals (family and friends are looked
after too!!!) I cannot fault this home at all!

A very pleasant environment. Staff very friendly, caring and helpful. Everything was perfect. The one small improvement could be improved labelling of clothes to stop mix-ups.
