The Elms is a purpose-built home in the Coppenhall area, approximately one mile from Crewe town centre. The home is staffed by a friendly team who promote a family atmosphere. Personal development and knowledge are also promoted, with the team achieving or working towards diplomas in care, and taking part in training programmes to enhance the level of care within the home. Residents are encouraged to have a say in home life through regular meetings.

Services include 24 hour residential care, respite care and day care.

Mum was a resident for over 8 years until she passed away mid-November at the age of 92. During that time, she was always happy and comfortable in the security of The Elms. The home was always exceptionally clean and the food 'good'. All staff were more than willing to help and always had a kind word.
Nothing was 'too much' for them and they were excellent during Mum's last months at the home.

The staff are absolutely wonderful, they are always happy and do everything for the residents.


The facilities need updating but again the staff work extremely well around it.

The staff are marvellous. Very good company from the other residents, friendly home. I will be back for another stay, loved it.

I have no complaints, we have a laugh and joke, always something to do if we want it. The home is kept clean and the food is good.

Happy to be home. Staff always helpful. Mice bedroom always very clean good food. There is always something going on to entertain us. Glad I was able to stay.

Over the 3 1/2 years she spent at The Elms, mum was cared for, loved and treated with dignity and respect. The last week of mum's life we cannot express how wonderful and caring the staff were to mum and our family.

Nichola started her career in care settings in 2003 as a Domestic Assistant, over the years Nichola has covered many job roles in the home, including cook, Care Team Leader, Administrator, before becoming a Manager in 2009.
