Mum has been doing well since she became a resident at Hope Green before Christmas. I think that the staff at the home have done well to settle her at a really difficult time.

I know Mum is being cared for efficiently by highly competent carers who always have time to chat and have a laugh with my mum. Although every aged person in a home must have hopes of returning to their own house sometimes it is not possible and Hope Green is aware of this, making it their business
to keep the spirits up of everyone who is in their care. Mum is very sociable and enjoys chatting and laughing with everyone. I feel Mum is in a caring situation that has her best interests at heart.

The staff at Hope Green are absolutely amazing and so very kind and patient. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them, each and every one of them go out of their way to make sure my dad is well looked after, the care he is receiving is amazing and we are always greeted with a warm smile. I cannot fault
this care home, the cleanliness in the home is spotless so very clean. There are good Covid procedures in place from the moment you enter until we leave. We feel very secure going in the home to see dad. He suffers from dementia but he is always telling us how nice the staff are and how well he is treated. I would highly recommend this home not just for the care my dad is receiving but the fact that the staff are absolutely amazing means we do not have to worry about him as much as we know he is being cared for in a lovely environment.

My wife suffered postoperative delirium following a knee replacement operation and did not fully recover in rehab. Following assessment she was unable to return home, luckily Hope Green accepted her as a resident. She was admitted to Hope Green on 18/19 March 2020 (lockdown) this was the last time I
saw her until my first visit on 21st July 2020. I am 84 years of age and my wife 75. After 52years of happy marriage, it was a traumatic experience for us both. Skype was introduced recently and this was most helpful. Our joint experience of Hope Green has been wonderful, I cannot believe how well my wife settled in. Excellent staff and conditions. Well done.

I visited my mother today after not seeing her for about 5-months. She looked well cared for, clean and happy. She had moved rooms since I saw her last, and her new room was very nicely decorated, clean and tidy with all Mum's possessions, photos and cards on display. We had a very nice visit.

The staff here are thoughtful caring and true professionals. The manager and the staff have given my mum the best care and if at inspection this is not reflected in the outcome, it would be a travesty. They make me feel like family and that my mum is treasured.

Lovely bright rooms with a feeling of cheerfulness. Residents free to wander around if they like. Staff gentle with them. Lovely restaurant and help given if required during mealtimes. A good manager who seems interested and committed. Pleasant staff and usually plenty of them. Residents appear calm
and content.

I have put my mother in Hope Green Care Home. She has been in nearly a month now she is very settled and calls it her home which is nice. The staff are all very lovely and polite even down to the kitchen staff who can’t do enough for you, and I must mention the manager who is doing an excellent job
and very professional; nothing is to much trouble for her. I would highly recommend Hope Green Care Home which has a very high standard keep up the good work.

My mother-in-law was admitted for respite care after falling at home. On admission, she was exhausted and not inclined to eat or drink, after two days care at Hope Green, she was back on her feet, eating and drinking normally. Happy to extol the virtues of the care staff. My mother-in-law has expressed
a wish to stay permanently. While it is early days, first impressions are excellent. The management staff are very accessible and appear very authentic in their mission to get things right for the individual.

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.256)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.256) out of 10 for Hope Green Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.100 for Hope Green Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (17 Excellents x 5) + (43 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 70 Ratings = 4.1

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.156 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hope Green Care Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 54 registered maximum number of service users is 10.8. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.8 = 0.556

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
