Mum is very well cared for here, well-fed, clean and warm. Her room is cost and warm. We, as a family, are welcome to call any time.

I highly recommend New Milton House. My Dad is very well cared for, is treated like family, and he “really likes the food”. The staff are very attentive and caring and do all they can to ensure everyone is happy. The home is clean and warm, and the staff are very welcoming to visitors too.

We have always been very happy with the home since we moved my parents in from out of area several years ago. They did their best to keep my father as long as possible to allow them to be together, and now look after mum really well. We are moving further away but have decided as she is settled that
we are happy her staying in an environment she is comfortable in and feels looked after rather than move her again. We would recommend this place a sentiment mum herself has echoed.

The management and admin team are totally on the ball informative, caring and supportive along with the staff who I myself came in contact with several times a week. The compassion that is shown to my mother, the attention to her needs is second to none. My mother had been in two previous care homes
but in my opinion, they did not meet Mum's needs and could not manage her at all. New Milton is excellent for mum. I feel extremely happy and contend that she is being cared for with dignity in her later years of life with is very important.

I have nothing but praise for New Milton House. New Milton House is an excellent home with a fantastic caring, well-mannered staff. It has given my husband and myself peace of mind that my uncle is being cared for and well looked after. Very friendly and attentive staff who genuinely care for their residents. Excellent communication when anything happens or is needed from the family. As a family, we are very pleased with the care being provided and have recommended the home to another friend of the family for their relative.

Mum has been a resident since September 2017. She has always been happy there and treated extremely well. I did a review when she first went to live there and our feelings are unchanged. We can't fault it...
Nothing is too much trouble. Mum can be rather challenging at times and the staff are so tolerant
and deal with her patiently and with humour and compassion.
They are caring for her so well during the COVID-19 lockdown. It is a difficult time but they have looked after her extremely well given the circumstances.

Mum resided at New Milton House since March 2017, once she had settled into her new surroundings, mum remained so happy playing bingo, going on trips, she went to see Jimmy Osmond with some of the girls, had a fantastic time there,one of the girls asked jimmy if she could take a photo of him with my
mum, which he agreed to, My mum was delighted as I have that photo too and her face says it all. Mum loved the quizzes they would put on at the home, she danced at the party's and sang at the top of her voice. It leaves us with such very happy memories of the times we spent with mum at the home. A far cry from how she was living at home. Thanks to the efforts of the manager and her team we are forever grateful to them. Because of them, my mum had a very happy three years of being cared for with such dignity and love. We as a family who loved her would like to thank both management and staff for their kindness and professionalism that they all showed.

Although mum is happy at Milton House, I have reservations about some of the aspects below. Over the last few years, the home has been decorated and new flooring laid but the furnishings are dated and shabby now. The daytime staff are caring and friendly but we have no idea about the night time carers.
I feel that there are many hours just spent sitting instead of residents being encouraged to join in independent and group activities. As with most care establishments, there are not enough carers so one to one time is limited or non-existent.

All the staff at whatever level, are marvellous. If there is a problem or a query, it is dealt with straight away. It is a very happy community family. I really appreciate the opportunity for my wife to be able to cross over to the other side, to be able to join in. I still don't agree with the ratings
- excellent 24/7 is virtually unobtainable. There is a vast difference between good and excellent - very good is necessary. Anything less than satisfactory needs sorting.

My mum was a resident for 1 month's respite care arranged by social services.
The home may not appear to be the most modern but the standard of care and management offered by the staff is second to none.
The home is a clean, happy and caring place to live.
I cannot thank the staff enough and wouldn't
hesitate to recommend it.

Dad was made to feel very welcome from day one. He had spent three weeks in hospital and was admitted to New Milton House for a months respite to help prepare him for home which was his goal.
He became much stronger over the few weeks and gained his confidence after not a very good experience in hospital.
The
staff were helpful, respectful and nothing was too much trouble. Dad was able to have familiar things from home around him, which, at 90 years old, was very reassuring for him. He has stated if the need arose he would be more than happy to return.

My mother has been here nearly a year and has received the very best care and attention from day one. This home provides the closest thing to a home from home environment for both my mother and the family when we visit. The staff truly care and take time to find out each residents likes and dislikes,
the food is all home cooked and always well balanced as well as delicious. The activities range from those who are more outgoing to those who prefer quieter pastimes. The home has a number of areas to relax in but my mother often chooses her room, which is always spotless as are her clothes and bedding. The hairdresser on site is an extra bonus and ensures my mother always looks her best. It was a hard decision for all of us to choose residential care but now we couldn't contemplate anywhere else, I live over 1 1/3 hrs away but I know can always pick up the phone to speak to my mother or to the staff if I have any questions and without fail they all know exactly where and how my mother is.

Since my mother-in-law has been placed in New Milton House she had received the best of care from both management and staff. It was very difficult for the first few weeks but the staff had the ability to ease her mind and gradually help her to settle into her new life at New Milton House. Six months
on now and she is very happy and content with her life at New Milton House. She now has friends to talk to which she didn't at home and enjoys a good social life inside and outside the home. She joins in most of the activities now. Any problems that have arisen have been taken care of promptly by either staff or management, on the whole, it is an excellent home.

My friend passed away in April and I wrote these comments on a review card at the time. However due the inevitable work involved with a friends passing, I mistakenly omitted to post it. Even though it is now some months since my friends passing, the sentiments are still very relevant and I want to
formally record that I cannot speak highly enough of EVERYONE involved in my friends care at New Milton House in Alsager.
Right through the entire team, from the Senior Management and Carers, to the administrators, caterers and cleaners, the attention and support given to my friend was just heart warming and was so very much appreciated. My friend spent just under a year with 'her new family' at 'her new home' and the love and support by the staff, right up to the very moment my friend passed away, was just amazing to witness.
The carers gave something of themselves in a truly loving, genuine way and is something I will never forget. "Thank you" somehow seems inadequate.
