The manager was lovely every time I made contact with her regarding my gran. She was extremely helpful/knowledgeable and approachable. It never felt like anything I asked was too much trouble. Thanks again to the manager for your patience with our situation which was not made any easier by another relative
adding to your already busy workload. I really appreciated how friendly you were each time I got in touch.

Since becoming a client of this residential home my mother in law has improved significantly. She is well looked after and encouraged to walk with her frame which she was not doing 12 months ago when she came out of the hospital. The staff are really helpful and take a lot of time and care looking after
everyone there. My mother in law is very settled there and is happy and content.

I am very pleased with the level of care that my mother receives at Woodeaves Residential Care Home.
Families are made to feel very welcome and it is very homely and comfortable.
The food is varied and of good quality.
Activities are varied, including musical events, church services, gentle physical
activities and trips out in the summer.

The home is a warm, friendly environment where residents are comfortable and treated with kindness and respect at all times. Nan has made friends with the carers who are the same staff as when she arrived 2 years ago.

The room I had was for use in transit between hospital and returning home and it was acceptable even though there was no en-suite,only one chair, there was a commode and an elevated chair at the wash basin. The room was poorly lit, the one light being located centrally on the ceiling with the chair
on one walk. TV. The room being centrally heated was very hot requiring the door to be left open.

The home is well managed. They did their best to cope with my mum's problems in difficult circumstances. The food was ok but mum never wanted to eat. They did their best to make food as attractive as possible. The home had a cosy feel. It's especially worth mentioning that they were particularly understanding,
empathetic and kind when I became emotional about my mum going into the home.

This is a place that welcomes residents, friends and families. It is truly caring. The culture is one of authentic care. A warm place in the true sense of both physical care and human caring. The staff and management communicate clearly and honour obligations to both residents and their families. I
can recommend Woodeaves to people who want their loved ones to be respected, cared for and treated with patience and affection.

All the staff, without exception, were wonderful at Woodeaves. My mother was happy and content to stay at the care home and was always very complimentary about the staff and the food which she said was very good. This is high praise indeed as my mother has stayed in numerous care homes previously
and has never expressed such satisfaction or any desire to stay any longer than was necessary... This was definitely not the case with Woodeaves.
The only area that I could suggest for improvement is the decor, which is a little tired and dated but this is being very pedantic given the level of care and attention from staff which is the most important aspect from my point of view.
The room that my mum was in, was very warm at times and there was very little ventilation which made the room quite oppressive when the weather was warm.
Overall, I rate Woodeaves and the staff very highly and would have no hesitation in recommending the care home to anyone looking for a place for a loved one.

My husband was only in Woodeaves for a short time but in that time, I was very happy with the home and the care he received. Unfortunately my husbands condition deteriorated and was unable to stay any longer. I would certainly recommend the home to anyone needing care as the staff were very caring and
friendly. A lovely small care home.

Colleen has a wealth of care experience and qualifications and has been the Registered Manager at Woodeaves since January 2023. Nothing is too much trouble and Colleen is always ready to discuss any and all, the care needs you or your family member may have.
