As soon as I entered Arranmore I was very warmly welcomed. The ambience of the home is so warm and homely. This was the 5th home I visited and I was feeling sad and disappointed with the others. I feel like we have hit the jackpot. My mum has been at Arranmore for just over 2 months now and the staff
including management are so lovely and friendly as the first day. The service is excellent, nothing is too much trouble. The residents are happy and my mum has settled nicely, Arranmore is a big happy family home!

My wife's aunt is a resident (for the second time). The care and commitment from the manager and staff is truly second to none. My wife's aunt first became a resident in August 2020 (during lockdown) From day one we were very happy with her care. Due to circumstances (nothing to do with Arranmore Park
Rest Home), we reluctantly moved her to another care home in September 2021, which turned out to be a grave mistake! We spoke to the manager at Arranmore and asked if it would be possible to move her back there. Without hesitation, the answer was yes! Although my wife's aunt has only been back a month it is as though she had never been away. We were all welcomed back and Aunty was given back her old room. I can honestly say that this is the best move we have made caring for her. The difference in such a short time is unbelievable. She is happy and contented and we know from previous experience that she is being well cared for and all the staff are brilliant with her. We could not ask for more.

It is a true honour to care for this lady she is wonderful. We are very grateful for your review and thank you implicitly for allowing us to care for your Aunt. We love wonderful people in our family!

Arranmore Park Rest Home.
Well, this rest home is just such a wonderful homely home with such caring devoted staff that nothing is too much trouble. The residents are looked after and catered for to a very high standard and all needs are met to a very professional standard. At the home there is always
something going on if you want there to be but also you can be quiet if you wanted to.
You have living rooms where residents can chat away together over a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit. or you can be in the TV room or can watch DVD or listen to music and have a sing along.
You never feel lonely. There is always staff around in every room making sure all the residents are ok.
The manager of the home is an outstanding lady she cares for everybody always
there if you need advice or help if you have any worries or concerns. My mum I know is safe, happy and very well looked after. She always looks clean, always dressed nice this is all down to the dedicated staff an manager.

Management is excellent in Arranmore if any problems arise, they always try their best to resolve any issues, I am the wife of my husband who has been at Arranmore for eight months, his care has been mostly good but some carers are more caring than others. I do think though that they need more activities
to challenge their minds more, he does say that his food only comes lukewarm, I think the reason is, he is left until others have been fed because he needs help from care.

Reply from Beverley Abraham, Manager at Arranmore Park Rest Home

It is a real privilege for us to have both your husband and yourself as part of the Arranmore family. As always the management team will be there to help. Activities have been a priority and an activity coordinator has been employed. The food service has also been noted and changes made to accommodate everyone with hot food of their choice. Your thoughts and comments are always welcome we have an open door and welcome you and your loved one at any time to come along and let us know how we can improve.

Nothing is any trouble to them or their teams always welcoming to myself, my sister has now got a purpose due to their care and attention. The medics

My Mother lived at Arranmore Park Rest Home for three years. It is a lovely home with a marvellous team. I can't speak highly enough of the love, care the staff gave to my mother. Sadly Mum passed away but the support they gave Mum and the family at end of life will stay with me forever. They kept her
comfortable, kissed her goodnight, took time to sit with her and the family through, what was, a difficult week. There were copious cups of tea, laughter, tears, hugs for everyone. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you barely covers our gratitude. I would definitely recommend Arranmore Park Rest Home.

My mother-in-law was a resident in Arranmore Park Rest Home from Sept 2021 through to 7/11/21. On arrival, she was emaciated. Arranmore did an amazing job building her back up to a normal weight. She was always very happy at the home and they dealt with her memory issues with dignity. The staff were
very caring with nothing being too much trouble.

My mother has recently become a resident at Arranmore Park and it has been a difficult time for her and the family. The restrictions of COVID-19 have not helped but we couldn’t have been in better hands than that of the dedicated and caring staff. Nothing has been too much trouble in helping mum to
settle and doing everything they can for her comfort and wellbeing. And the support and reassurance that I and my sister have received has been wonderful. We are so impressed with the professional and yet disarming manner of those in authority, indeed all of the staff I have come in contact with have been excellent and have given me the confidence to know that mum is in the best place. Thank you to everyone at Arranmore

Arranmore is a very well managed care home. The staff really take care and ensure my mum is looked after. They will spend extra time to sit and chat for a while, which makes all the difference. Her room is always immaculate, and the food is excellent. Mother has respite care (I'm her main carer), and
they have always managed to accommodate us. I sincerely recommend them; care homes come no better than Arranmore.

My father has been treated with the utmost kindness, respect, and care since he arrived at Arranmore a few months ago. All of the staff have been fantastic and have made both his, and our, experience very positive. The degree of care and thought is above and beyond that which we expected, and although
we are a long way away we have a strong relationship with all of the team and that makes a difference to us. The home is also equally welcoming to the members of our family that can visit almost daily. I recommend Arranmore without reservation.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.981)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.981) out of 10 for Arranmore Park Rest Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.592 for Arranmore Park Rest Home is calculated as follows: ( (50 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 71 Ratings = 4.592

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.389 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Arranmore Park Rest Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 registered maximum number of service users is 7.6. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.6 = 0.789

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I care because I believe that people have a right to be recognised as unique individuals. People should be treated with respect and their views listened too. It is important to me that the service I run gives those receiving care the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of their care needs.

Arranmore Park Rest Home enables me to fulfil these values due to the support and commitment to quality care from the Proprietors. Both Mr and Mrs Robson visit the home on a weekly basis and fully support the team to provide a personalised, high-quality service.
