Located on the A6 between Clayton-le-Woods and Bamber Bridge, Brookside care home offers a wide range of facilities to suit every need. At Brookside care staff understand your worries and anxieties regarding a choice of home. The owners and their kind and helpful staff can assist you with any queries or requests.

All staff teams are highly trained and experienced with registered nurses and care assistants who undergo National Vocational Qualification training to ensure high-quality standards of care. Brookside staff are carefully chosen and trained assistance is available 24-hours per day.

This is dad's home. I chose it because it is a safe caring place with very friendly staff. At all times Dad is very well cared for and I know he will be looked after.

After trawling around many care homes, I decided upon Brookside, as soon as I went in I knew it was where I wanted my relative to stay. There was an immediate friendliness from both staff and other residents. A laid back, but caring atmosphere. A smaller residential home, rather than a large one, which
is what I was looking for. All residents seem happy; rooms are nice, facilities for fun, enjoyment and relaxation are all good. Turnaround of clothes/bedding laundering is excellent. The day to day needs and care of residents by staff is very high.

My grandfather was a resident of Brookside care home and now in a nursing home. I went to the manager of Brookside for some professional advice, as I feel my grandfather is not being cared for in his current home. The manager at Brookside was extremely friendly and accommodating and was able to give
me the guidance and help I sought. Whilst at the home ALL the staff I met there were pleasant and friendly with smiles on their faces. It was a refreshing change from the home my grandfather now resides at.

All in all it has been a very positive experience. My mothers quality of life has improved 100%. There is a very friendly atmosphere. The staff are helpful and caring and treat my mother with respect. The manager is very approachable and runs the home in a very efficient way. I have full confidence
in the way my mother is being looked after. Every effort is made to make it a real home rather than an institution. Residents are treated as individuals, birthdays are celebrated, trips out arranged and various activities are arranged.

This care home does everything it's name implies in providing genuine care and a real home for it's residents. The ethos is set by the manager's challenge to her staff to treat each resident as if they are their own parent.

Job Title: Manager

Joined: 2012

Louise joined Brookside in March 2012. She has many years experience in management of care and among her list of qualifications includes RMA, ILM, A1 assessors, FAW, risk assessments, key mover aware and she is currently working towards her level 5. Louise is passionate about care and understands the role as a twenty four hour commitment. Louise explains "Care is all about fundamental care, having power with an individual not over them and striving to meet not only their needs but their wishes, aims and aspirations". Louise believes in leading by example and will never compromise on standards of care she and her team of staff provide.
