Hedges House is a lovely Residential Care Home in Lytham close to Lytham Green, and all Lytham's fabulous facilities including cafes, shops, restaurants and much more. The team provides wonderful care in a home from home environment. The staff are fully trained and the home benefits from an on site Registered Manager, full time maintenance, home cook and daily housekeeping.

Hedges House offers care and support for residents that may need help with personal care, continence management, medication management, nutrition and diet and much more. Living in a residential care home can support families to provide round the clock support and company for loved ones at a time when they need it most.

The home has 32 luxurious bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a licensed bar, an air-conditioned garden room and offers excellent home-cooked food which is all locally sourced. Hedges House can offer short term care, recuperation from hospital stays, respite care and longer term residential care. Hedges House can support residents living with dementia.

Hedges House prides itself on the personalised care on offer and the team takes time to build strong and valued relationships with all families. Getting to know residents is the most important part of care, and it is these strong bonds that provide a personalised care package, so residents can feel at home from the moment they arrive. My bother and sister were both cared for here and on the recommendation of my daughter I have moved here also as I was no longer able to manage at home.
The care is fantastic. The food is delicious. The staff are always cheerful and there is laughter in the house - very important.

My mother is now the third close relative who has moved up from the south to be cared for at Hedges House. This is because I don't know of any other care home that I could safely and happily leave a loved one in with the knowledge that they would be cared for to such a high standard. The staff have
also been professional, supportive and friendly to us too. My sincere thanks to everyone at Hedges House.

As a son living abroad, my mother has been living alone for a very long time. Suddenly she had to be taken into care with dementia, living now at the Hedges House for the past few months. I had recently visited my mother there, and I was very impressed.
It was like visiting my mother in her own home.
So friendly and warm. All the people working there are amazing, taking great care of all my mother's needs 24 hours a day.
I am so at ease because I'm living far away.
Knowing that my mother is eating very well now and has gained great weight since she arrived.
All I can say Hedges House is a warm friendly place, great atmosphere, great people working there. Keep up the great work, and thank you for everything.

A small efficient, friendly establishment and not part of a large chain. Staff are genuine and obviously care.
The service is very personal and attempt to tailor things to each resident's specific needs.
The location is very convenient but the parking facilities are sometimes problematic.

Mum joined Hedges House after a lengthy spell in hospital.


All the Hedges House staff have welcomed her and cared for her needs. The move from living alone for many years represents a huge change for all of us and Mum has found it difficult.
However, the managers/team have worked very hard to

make it as comfortable as possible. The team are friendly, experienced and supportive and have listened to what the family have asked for, working with us to get Mum settled through this difficult and stressful time. I am reassured by the patience and expertise that are in evidence whenever I visit, which has been at different times of the day and evening.


Since arriving, Mum's physical condition and strength have improved as a result of the regular meals, regular administration of medication and attention to personal needs i.e chiropody and hairdressing.


Thank you to all the team for working with us and genuinely 'caring' for mum during this readjustment period.

Mum is settling in well and being treated with the utmost care and attention. She is really enjoying the comfort, social experience, food and activities. I can't praise Hedges House highly enough and would recommend this home for anyone in a similar situation - i.e with dementia and short-term memory

On one small emergency, I was promptly informed and it was handled immediately without fuss and I was very impressed. As a family, we are more than pleased with the care and consideration that Dad is receiving at Hedges House. He settled in very quickly and was made to feel very much at home, which was important to us. The staff have enabled the transition from home to a care home a surprisingly stress free experience.
The manager responded promptly in addressing Dads medical issues and liaising with health professionals. This took the pressure away from the family. We hope that Dad will have many contented years at Hedges House.

From my initial unannounced visit to the present, I have found the level of openness and care at the Hedges House to be exemplary. I was introduced to the chef to discuss specific dietary needs and all staff has an active interest in my mother's well-being. Communication is also very efficient.

The staff at the home are very knowledgeable and friendly.
They treat all residents with respect and ensure dignity.
The management and staff have made the emotional and distressing time moving my grandma from her own home as less stressful as possible.

Very friendly, efficient and caring care hotel. When my mother in law came into Hedges House she was distraught, stressed, under weight and confused. The care that she received had an immediate and ongoing effect upon her well being for the rest of her life.
The food is excellent, my mother in law
told me so. I cannot think of a safer, caring alternative.

My aunt has been a resident at the Hedges House since June 2015.
I feel she is very well looked after. I see the carers understand her really well, they are genuine, caring, and treat all the residents in the same way overall, very happy with the care, thank you to Hedges House.

Hedges House is a very well run place. The food is good but some of the soups are too well spiced - I have a stomach problem.
I think the meals are too near each other. Another hour would be better spaced.

I have been very pleased with the care given to mum since she became a resident in 2012. When it became apparent that mum could no longer safely look after herself in her own home, I knew that I wanted her to be in Hedges House. Mum had previously stayed there for respite care after a hip replacement
a few years before that, and I was pleased with the care. The manager and staff are caring and friendly and look after the residents well. The fact that most of them are long-serving speaks volumes. I know mum feels safe, happy and looked after here.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Hedges House for what was an extremely emotional transition from mum's own home to a care home in Jan 2017. Their care and kindness showed an understanding of both mum's feelings, together with those of the family.
Mum is always treated as an
individual and her needs are met with dignity and respect. I find the staff are never too busy to answer questions or offer reassurance.
All the residents appear content, safe and comfortable in their “hotel feel” environment.
The cleanliness and upkeep of the home, grounds and her room are exceptional.
The food is plentiful and freshly prepared by the chefs.
There is an excellent liaison with the GP practice, whom they do not hesitate to call if any concerns. The staff are long serving and work well together as a team, under good management directorship and all should be very proud of the impact their individual care delivery has on the residents, which in turn offers reassurance to the family.

Having spent 15 years working in childcare I looked for a long time to find a home for my own grandma. Since taking over Hedges House, I have been back to college to study my level 5 in Health and Social Care and spent a lot of time getting to know our residents.


I love what I do and feel very privileged to lead a Residential Care Home where the residents mean so much. My role is to support the home from a regulatory prospective and offer direction and guidance to drive quality.


Of course I couldn't do this without the help of our staff team and with their support we put our residents at the heart of our home.
