Nestled within the residential community in Preston, in Lancashire, Meadow Bank Care Home offers personalised residential, nursing and dementia care care to older people.

At Meadow Bank, there is a range of lovely dining areas where residents can relax and enjoy an intimate dining experience with family and friends. The catering team prides itself on making mealtimes a sociable and stimulating part of each day, by providing an enjoyable experience for all residents and their loved ones.

Having also recently opened a state-of-the-art Specialist Dementia Care Community (SDCC), Meadow Bank offers an enhanced service which focuses on the welfare and wellbeing of people who are emotionally distressed by their dementia and therefore require specialist care and support.

Recently, the welcoming care home benefitted from a significant refurbishment programme, which created modernised living environments, including a cinema (in SDCC community), which were designed to enhance the quality of life for all residents.

I visit a resident, usually weekly. I also know another couple of residents. It is a lovely atmosphere. All staff are lovely, they are responsive to the residents.

Meadow Bank has a lovely homely feel and the staff are very friendly and easing. I felt at home right from the first day and still do. I am waiting for a knee operation and will be able to go home afterwards, but if I had to stay permanently I certainly would. Thank you everyone.

My dad is a resident at Meadow Bank Care Home, Sabrina House and he is looked after by the amazing staff so well. He is kept so clean, always shaven and always looks so smart when we visit him. All the staff are so friendly and caring. You can tell they love their job. I really appreciate all they do
for my lovely dad. It really does help to know he is safe. Thank you.

My mum has settled in very well at Meadow Bank Care Home, she feels safe and secure and has gained good relationships with a number of staff. I'm very grateful for Meadow Banks workforce who have supported not just my mum but myself also. A very friendly, homely environment.

After twenty months of frustration and repeated safeguarding issues relating to my husband’s care in a number of care homes, I was despairing of him ever receiving the care he needs and deserves. He was then accepted at Sabrina House.
I have since been astounded at the caring attitude of the staff
and the willingness to improve the quality of life of the people in their care.
My husband’s well-being is a priority in this person-centred environment. Relatives are consulted and their views considered. I have the greatest respect for all the staff at Meadow Bank Care Home and thank them for their dedication which has improved the quality of life of my husband as well as lifting a considerable weight from the shoulders of myself and my family.
The managers should be proud of the service which is evolving as a result of their dedication to the needs of their vulnerable residents.

I am very happy with this home. My room is my new home now and I have a few of my photos and trinkets which really matter to me.
The staff are wonderful and help me a lot.
I have made friends with other residents.
Also, the food is really good and nicely presented.

My grandad has been at Meadow Bank for a number of years suffering with severe dementia. The care he receives is phenomenal, he has the best quality of life he could have. He is treated with the utmost respect, kindness, compassion and care. The staff are phenomenal, going above and beyond to make him
settled, comfortable and as happy as possible. I love visiting, I am made to feel part of the family and always warmly welcomed, it is a warm and happy home. I am so thankful my grandad is in such a loving, safe place and I am so thankful for all that the staff do, not just for my grandad but for me, but for making me so welcome and giving me such peace of mind. He also certainly loves the food and the staff know his favourites!

Our darling mum was a resident in Ribble House for over 5 years. The staff of Ribble House (which is the medical unit) worked tirelessly and with love to support mum’s needs. Mum had a lovely room with patio doors opening out onto greenery. The staff showed mum so much love and dignity and on her funeral
day came out on mass to say goodbye.

The change in mum just after a couple of days in Meadow Bank Care Home was so noticeable. Since being here she has reconnected with her language, which we thought was lost for good whilst in her previous care home. It is clear that staff spend time talking and interacting with her and she is back to
her old self, smiling and chatting. Mum loves the food cooked fresh on-site which has clearly benefited her. Staff are always helpful and keen to know about mum's life and what she likes. Seeing mum in such good care has been a huge relief for me and my family.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. If there are concerns about my wife's health or anything else that they think I should know about, they won't hesitate to get in touch with me. Although my mum was only at Meadow Bank for a short time, the staff on Willow Unit and the admin staff were marvellous. I cannot thank them enough for caring and supporting my mum in her last days. This care home is the gold standard.

On Dad's 86th birthday in March, my sister and I visited and had a window visit with Dad. We were concerned that his dementia would have worsened over the 12 months we hadn’t seen him because of covid. We were blown away by the level of care that Dad is receiving. A member of staff helped Dad open all
his presents talking to us and involving us through the window. She treated Dad like he was her own grandad and with such genuine affection and respect. It made me cry with relief and happiness that he was in such good hands. Well done meadow bank.

In the past 12 months it's been very difficult not being able to see our loved ones, wondering how they are, are they being cared for properly. I didn't have to worry as the staff gave more than 110%, keeping me up to date with things and doing facetime calls. My husband was very well cared for and
I would recommend this home to anyone who was looking for a care home.
