Preston Private is a purpose-built care home on a single level with 101 bedrooms. The home overlooks beautifully landscaped gardens for enjoyment and relaxation - all areas are wheelchair accessible. Preston Private comprises of four specialist units:

•        Longsands provides nursing and palliative care.
•        Durton and Ladywell provide residential care.
•        Ferny is a residential unit for those living with dementia.

Preston Private understands that it can be stressful and at times challenging to find the right care home for yourself or a loved one.

It would be hard to find a better care home. The staff are amazing, caring, compassionate and friendly. There is always time for a chat even when extremely busy. My dad has been looked after so well and time was taken when he just wanted to have someone to hold his hand. Even now at the end of dads
life they have been so kind to me.

My mum arrived at Preston Private care home in January 2025 following time in hospital. The staff made Mum very welcome and family too. Physically they got more mobile from being bedridden to a wheelchair and taking part in activities and stimulated during the day enabling full sleep at night. Sadly
she passed away on 26th February 2025 but during her time in the home she was cared for lovingly and the team were great support to family.
Recently completed feedback on Preston Private care home the team on Ferny ward were brilliant in their care and support for Mum and family. Mum faded away through the frailty in old age so never really ate anything which is why I can't comment on food or VFM. They managed to get Mum a little more mobile and up in the day room. Really felt Mum was in a lovely cuddle during her time there.

My mum stayed at Preston Private in respite following a stroke. I cannot praise the team there enough for the exceptional care that she received during her stay. From the senior team, to the fabulous cooks, meticulous cleaners and amazing carers- they all work so hard to make sure the residents get
the best care. It was peace of mind to know that mum was safe and very well cared for whilst she started her recovery. A huge thank you to everyone there!

My mother is 95 years of age and has been a resident for about 18 months and is very happy with the care she has received, she often says I'm so glad you picked this home, I wouldn't like to be anywhere else but here. All the staff, cleaners, nurses and everyone connected with the home are all excellent.

I have been away for 9 weeks and whilst away my uncle had a fall. He was taken very good care of and is now fit and well again. The staff give me complete confidence in their caring ways, making my uncle very happy and content. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns I may have are quickly addressed.
My mum spent 6 years at Preston Private Nursing Home and was not the easiest to deal with but even she was at her happiest whilst living at this care home. I just want to say thank you to all the staff.

What a great place and the family can now rest and be assured my father is being well looked after and cared for.

Always very attentive and caring, very clean too and everyone always has a warm welcome and smiling. Mom is always well looked after and enjoys all the activities and singing with everyone. There is always someone to help her and make her feel better.

Mum is very happy living here. The management are very approachable and very friendly. The head nurses are also very approachable and friendly and the team leader. The care staff are very caring and friendly. They always talk to Mum and call her by her name which is important to me and to Mum. The housekeeping
staff are also wonderful plus the admin ladies, overall I am very impressed with Mum's care.

The care my Dad has received since moving him to Preston Private has been second to none, the staff explained everything to us from day one and are always happy to listen and address any concerns which have been minimal.
All the staff have been fantastic, other establishments should really take note
of what PP are doing.
