My mum has been a resident of Keate House for a month. She suffers with dementia and moving her to full time residential care was a difficult decision.
We need not have worried, she is so happy here. The staff are warm and friendly, her room is lovely. They gave regular feedback to put my mind at ease
when Mum moved in. I’m really impressed with Keate House.

This is just the most amazing place.
My mum has been here for over 4 years. She will tell you she loves her home and the people who look after her (it’s one of the few things she does say).
Not only are all her day to day needs met every day (with staff going beyond all expectations in the pandemic),
staff make it my mum’s home - family welcomed and informed, individual interests and preferences honoured.
Staff are caring, professional, flexible and fun. They are an established close team who, even in Covid19 restrictions, beautifully converted a summerhouse into a safe meeting area and did everything they could to facilitate chats on zoom etc.
They have just moved me to tears with a Mother’s Day photoshoot - all done with love and care and a lot of laughing.
Keate House is such a blessing to me and it brings me joy every day to see my mum so well looked after in every way.

My dad came into Keate House after a very stressful experience; his moving into the care home system during Covid was extremely distressing. I selected Keate House after reading reviews and their CQC report. It was the best decision I have made for my dad.


The amazing staff at Keate House have continually

and consistently reassured me of this, by their care of my dad, their excellent communication and compassion. The attention to detail about my dad’s needs is outstanding and I feel that they have got to know him and his needs well. His care has been continuously positive and respectful.


The communication system is, again, outstanding and I have been notified of any issues, however small, immediately, with updates to follow. I have never felt like I’m wasting time when I ring to check how he is, the staff are warm and caring towards relatives too.


It is very well run, with an approachable and visible management team.


I would recommend Keate House without hesitation.

I had looked after my mum at home for 9 years, sadly her mobility and stability decreased and was falling more frequently. It was a hard decision to make to have her in a home, as I’d wanted to keep her in her own home as long as possible. My mum went into Keate House during lockdown, the staff were
kind and caring, she settled in quite quickly and she is happy there. They do lots of varied activities with them to stimulate them, I didn’t think my mum would have joined in but she does and enjoys it. It has a very friendly atmosphere, all of the staff know the residents, nursing staff, admin staff, housekeeping staff and catering staff. They keep the family involved with video calls with my mum when I’ve visited my son and daughter as they both don’t live locally. There were a couple of times when my mum wasn’t well and they gave excellent care and kept me fully informed. I’m glad my mum is in a safe and caring home.

My father has been at Keate House for about 6 months and has settled in very well. Our family is dispersed all over the world and recently the Keate House team arranged a video call for his 90th birthday so that we could all participate in sharing his day with him and sending him our love. My mum is new to Keate House having become a resident in early September after a short respite stay.
She always said she would never go into ‘a home‘ but now she already refers to Keate House as ‘my home’.
This is due to the wonderful staff who treat every resident as an individual and who work so
hard to provide an amazing range of activities and entertainment. We feel very fortunate to have Mum in such a caring environment.
Moving mum from independent living into a care home was a huge concern to us as a family and the staff have also given us such great support. They have made this transition so easy not just for mum but for all her family members.

Dad was a valued member of the Keate House family for 4 years. I could not fault the staff from beginning to end, professional, caring, dignified, and loving. This wonderful home made all of our family always feel welcome and included in the home from organising special lunches, supporting my Mum to
come in and have meals together with my Dad for special occasions such as wedding anniversaries to taking Dad out of the home (before COVID) on special one to one activities that were tailored to his hobbies and interests. This care home deserves every bit of its CQC report and more! All of the staff from the management down were patient and respectful to all of our family throughout Dad's journey with Dementia helping us understand how best to support Dad. The care staff were amazing dealing with Dad's final wishes and keeping his dignity until the end. This home will always have a special place in all our hearts. Thank you we will always be so great full for everything you did.

Dad became a resident at Keate House over two years ago following a number of serious falls at home which meant it was no longer possible for him to live alone. Keate House has more than met our expectations and indeed has far exceeded them. The staff are highly motivated and led by a strong management
team that is forward-thinking and always developing different aspects of the home. As dad's needs have changed Keate House has recognised this and adapted his care accordingly. He is very well looked after by friendly, considerate staff who manage all situations with a sense of humour and a kind word. He has a very comfortable, well-appointed bedroom and ensuite which is always clean, and the housekeeping throughout the home is to the highest standard. The food is excellent; the chef and his team work hard at producing interesting menus to suit all tastes. The activities and entertainment are superb, very well planned and coordinated, always relevant to the season or occasion.

Walking through the front door of Keate House it instantly feels like home. The care mum receives is second to none. I am a registered nurse and am confident that everyone, residents and staff are treated with respect and dignity with all their needs catered for at all times. Staff know the residents
very well and know how to deal with any issues that arise. Mum’s dementia has slowly worsened in the two and half years she has lived there and her changing needs have been regularly assessed and care adapted appropriately. I am kept well informed of any issues. Activities available are diverse and well thought out with lots of fun and laughter. The staff have a great team ethos and will find any reason to dress up and get the residents involved in associated activities based on themes which is great fun for all. During lockdown, they have helped us maintain contact with mum abiding by whatever government guidance is at the time. You will not be disappointed by this amazing residential home.

Mum broke her hip in September 2019 and then had a period of rehab care in Warrington. As she was no longer able to care for herself safely I looked into care homes. Keate House was the first I visited and after meeting the staff and seeing the facilities I was delighted to know that there was a vacancy
and I cancelled the other viewings. 18 months, on I am delighted we made the decision we did. Mum is happy safe has made friends and really enjoys the craft sessions etc. There is a programme of events every week. Covid hasn't made visits easy for residents and their families, but the staff do everything they can to ensure there is regular contact.

My mother went into Keate House just before the first lockdown. We were concerned about her welfare but felt reassured as caring staff implemented actions needed to counter the virus. The house has got a warm atmosphere which makes you feel welcome. The quality of care is very good,and around the clock.
My mother is in a home that is safe, caring and provides comfortable living. Good gardens provide more enjoyment in good weather.

Dad became a resident during the COVID lockdown period.
Even though it was an unusual/confusing time due to COVID Dad settled in well.
He has been well looked after and seems happy to be involved in the many activities the home provides.

I cannot be more positive about Keate House. My dad has been a resident there for two years and is as happy as I have ever seen him. He is so well cared for, the staff seem to know him really well, all his preferences and idiosyncrasies! When he is poorly they keep me really well informed, and when
needed the GP, has called me. Before the pandemic, I popped in regularly at different times of the day and was always made welcome. During the pandemic, Keate House has have embraced Zoom calls for family members and built a visiting hut in super quick time. The activity programme is amazing, inventive and looks like great fun. It is a very special place for your loved family member.

After being admitted from hospital into Keate House during COVID-19, my dad has settled fantastically well into his new setting. Staff are always highly attentive and caring for his needs, and it's great to see them go the extra mile to make sure his stay is comfortable at this time. Activities and
events are very impressive and it's great to keep up to date on their Facebook page. Medications are safely managed and the home itself has a warm and comfortable feel. Nice spacious bedroom with a wide TV for him to relax in as he pleases. Couldn't be happier with the service.

Dad has been a resident of Keate House for 6 months, during this time he has settled in, his health has improved, he is calmer and his overall mood has improved. He is made to feel like part of a family and he joins in with lots of activities. All of the staff are lovely, patient and caring, taking

Having been an independent lady with care provided solely from her two daughters, we never thought Mum (93) would accept or choose to go into a care home.
Mum has settled amazingly well into Keate House where she has lived since September 2018.
She is well looked after by caring, friendly staff. She
loves all of her meals, her bedroom is comfortable, clean and warm (although she is rarely in it!) and her complex medication is dealt with professionally. She has enjoyed being part of a wider community whilst facing no pressure to join in with the many activities on offer.
She has gradually absorbed the friendly, community atmosphere throughout.
My sister and I are welcomed into the home at any time we turn up and Mum can come and go with us as she pleases.
We never thought we would be happy with a care home situation but are very relieved that Keate House has worked out so well for us all.

We currently hold two vacancies for either residential or dementia care placements. This can be under a permanent or respite (short stay) basis. Both rooms are supported with an en suite (featuring toilet and basin), with one of the vacant rooms also having a personal wet room (featuring a private shower). Rooms come fully furnished with fitted wardrobes and drawers, single divan beds, widescreen TV, telephone point, complimentary Wi-Fi, call bells (and additional aids/adaptive mobility equipment provided as required at no extra cost). Rooms are close to all facilities including dining rooms, lounges, and reception area. These rooms come with an all-inclusive package of newspapers, hair appointments, podiatry, reflexology, and Wi-Fi. Please call for a viewing or tour.

Diane Clarkson

Job Title: Registered Care Manager

Joined: 2008

Diane has worked in Health and Social Care since 2004. She joined Keate House in 2008 and has been working as Keate House's Registered Care Manager since 2015. Diane has a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, accompanied by a Level 5 Higher-Degree Apprenticeship in Adult Social Care. Diane is passionate about adult social care and has a particular interest in working with people living with dementia, supporting them alongside her team to achieve great outcomes through personalised care. Diane believes that a happy team creates a happy home.

Mathew Clarkson

Job Title: Business Manager

Mathew has been the Business Manager of Keate House since 2014 and has been a key member in supporting the growth of the home through the years, in line with developments in the care industry. Mathew proactively continues to develop Keate House's outstanding approach to care, working closely with all departments of the home to communicate new and exciting developments which enhance the quality of care and the Keate House experience.

Ryan Lees

Job Title: Quality Lead

Joined: 2016

Ryan joined the team in 2016 as a Care Assistant, although he was often regarded as Keate House's 'Jack of all Trades' - working on the Activities and Administration teams in addition to Senior Care work. In 2023, Ryan became Keate House's Quality Lead - managing compliance framework, promoting residents' best interests, and upholding the highest standards of care throughout the home.


Andrew

Andrew Jardine

Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Joined: 2024

Andrew joined the team in March 2024 and has established himself as an integral member of Keate House's administration team. With high proficiency in administration, computing and finance, Andrew is the lead contact for anything financial or accounts-based at home. Andrew is currently working towards his professional Accountancy qualifications with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).


Rachel

Rachel Entwistle

Job Title: Administration Manager

Joined: 2014

Rachel joined the administration team at Keate House in 2014. With vast experience in HR and business, Rachel manages the administrative processes of Keate House, in addition to supporting current and prospective residents with their experience at Keate House. Rachel works closely with the management team to uphold the highest levels of communication, ensuring that quality of care is complimented by fantastic service.

Katie Ochman

Job Title: Unit Manager

Joined: 2006

Katie joined the team in 2006, working through the years in various roles from Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant, Medication Lead, and more. In 2023, she transitioned into one of the three Unit Managers at Keate House, responsible for managing one of the home's three departments, and ensuring that the highest standards of quality of care are upheld.

Mo Mayes

Mo is Keate House's longest-standing member of staff, who joined the team in 1999! She has worked through the years in various roles from Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant, Deputy Manager, and more. In 2023, she transitioned into one of the three Unit Managers at Keate House, responsible for managing one of the home's three departments, and ensuring that the highest standards of quality of care are upheld.

Donna joined the team in 2014, working through the years in various roles from Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant, Senior Lead, and more. In 2024, she transitioned into one of the three Unit Managers at Keate House, responsible for managing one of the home's three departments, and ensuring that the highest standards of quality of care are upheld.
