Simonsfield Care Home specialises in residential and dementia care. The beautiful home is situated near to shops and the town and is within easy reach of public transport.

Care workers offer residents and their families the support they need during what many find some of the most trying times of their lives. Families are truly grateful for the personal support they receive, when faced with one of life's very difficult decisions and the team pride themselves on continuing that support to residents and their families from the moment they contact the home throughout the whole of their stay and beyond.

The approach to care is simple - look after the person and not the ailment/condition alone - care workers want to get to know their residents and their families, thus enabling them to look after the whole person and not just to concentrate on the task in hand. Staff get to know their clients, who they are, who they were and how they have come to be at the home. Care workers get to know their families too and like to understand the dynamics within the family setting and how best they can support these as they build a relationship of trust. This care home is a lovely environment for my mum, she loves being there and enjoys the attention from the carers. They look after my mum very well. My mum gets a lot of visits in the week so we have got to know a lot of the staff and they know us. We did hampers for them for Christmas to show how much
we appreciate what they do. They do work hard, I just feel that they could do with more staff especially when they are dealing with dementia patients. It is a lovely care home, clean, vibrant, modern and lovely little touches inside e.g. hanging baskets, flowers on the dining tables and pictures on walls. We are lucky with this care home as it is local for us too which is a big plus as it is not too far to see mum.

My mother spent over 4 years in Simonsfield. She was always treated with the utmost kindness, respect and humanity. Every effort was always made to make her feel cared for and happy. Nothing was seen as being too much effort or trouble to help her. There is an atmosphere throughout the home of teamwork
putting the care and happiness of the residents at the centre of everything. My mother saw the staff as being part of her family and trusted them completely.

The home itself is fantastic. The only thing, the carers do not have any consideration for the residents, as they bang the doors. This home is very clean.

The management and staff have been extremely helpful throughout what has been a very difficult time for our family. Nothing has been too much trouble. My mother in law had been made very welcome and the staff have gone out of their way to make her feel at home. She has good relationships with several
members of staff and she is settling in very well. My wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending Simonsfield to anyone.

Simonsfield Care Home is a home from home. No one wants a family member to go into a home. But my mother is in the best place. The staff are wonderful, they encourage their guests to join in with all the activities, which gives them a new lease of life. I would like to thank the manager and her staff

It broke our hearts to have to put mum into care, she is 90 and has dementia. As soon as we saw Simonsfield I met the staff and saw how kind they were to all the residents our minds were put at ease. She is safe, warm, kept clean and treated with dignity. The staff all try and involve everyone, residents
and visitors with events they hold. They work very hard are very happy and we are so glad to have them as part of our extended family now.

The care she has received has been second to none and the activities provided are varied and enjoyable. The staff are brilliant and their care and attention is always spot on, without

Having brought my dad up from after his dementia diagnosis he was confused and upset. I couldn't of wished for more caring and loving staff. They have helped dad to settle in quickly, showing the utmost care and respect. The staff are just so dedicated and lovely I can't praise them highly enough. I'm
so thankful that I chose Simonsfield for my dad. The staff are always available to talk and reassure, as well as to listen to any worries and concerns. Fantastic home!

My mum came into Simonsfield last August and since she came in her health has been much more stable. I can't praise the home and staff enough. Nothing is too much trouble and my mum couldn't be better looked after. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere and you feel very at home when visiting. There
is plenty of entertainment for the residents, the food looks lovely and everywhere is kept clean and fresh. It has taken the stress out of my life and I couldn't be more appreciative.

On first appearance I noticed how clean the place seemed. After meeting the staff I felt reassured that my mother and father-in-law were in good hands. They did everything possible to help them settle in. My mother-in-law had a few health issues which were dealt with very effectively, which gave my

All the staff at Simonsfield have been wonderful caring and given my father in law respect, dignity and patience and kindness which has made his two sons and their families at ease, after the trauma of my father in law having his leg amputated in December 2014. We were told that he needs 24/7 care.
As we all worked this was a worry. My husband and myself traveled and visited many care homes. We left them feeling emotional and unsettled. As soon as the Senior showed us the room and surrounding family rooms we were delighted. The Manager assessed our Father in law and he moved in within the week.


The family room is great. You meet other service users and their families all gather around chatting. One evening we shared biscuits sweets cakes and had a good natter. There are tea coffee and biscuits available all the time for families. Lovely homely atmosphere with excellent staff. Thank you so much xxxxx
