Buster is a very much loved and well-known character at Trewan House to all residents and families he is part of our family here. You may see Buster moving around the home greeting families at reception or lying in the lounge with residents.
Pet therapy in care homes can increase social interaction not just with the animals but also between other residents. It gives residents something to look forward to, comment on and discuss together in a way that often helps to break down barriers.
Interacting with pet animals can unlock hidden memories of cats, dogs and other creatures that may have been part of the lives of elderly residents in the past. Even when these former encounters can’t be put into words, their joy can often be seen in participants’ faces.

Carol is the Registered Manager at Trewan House. Having worked in the care industry for many years, Carol joined our team initially as a Deputy Manager but quickly moved through the ranks and became a Registered Manager for the service in 2021.
Carol has given most of her working life to caring for the elderly and always treats her residents with warmth and respect, the same morals that she instils in all the staff that work with her.
The Company is exceptionally proud to have a Manager of Carol's quality working for us and she brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion and empathy to any home that she would work in.

Faye Is the Deputy Manager at Trewan House, she has worked in the care industry for nearly 10 Years starting in the community as a carer and then decided to move to a nursing home working alongside RGN's where she gained a range of knowledge and experience.
Faye Said "I am keen to promote an open-door policy to allow staff & residents to seek advice, ask questions or offer support when needed. I enjoy nothing more than solving problems and developing/implementing new ideas especially if it will benefit the home. The staff at Trewan House always go above and beyond their roles to enhance the lives of the people we care for and I am very proud to call them my team."

Hi, my name is Gary and I am the Regional Maintenance Manager at Careconcepts LTD. The chance to have contact with the residents and the interaction is so great, when working at Careconcepts, no day is the same. It is also good to have residents ask me to deal with an issue within their room and have a little chat with them at the same time.
