Over the next couple of months my mums dementia had gotten to the stage where she could no longer live independently at home. After some difficult times in hospital and in short term care mum has now moved into Pennystone Court Blackpool. I have been in many care homes through my professional life and
I can honestly say Pennystone Court as an environment is perfect for my mum, very homely, food is great, room very comfortable. The best thing about Pennystone however is the staff, management team and exceptional care. Mum is happy settled and has things to do. I cannot thank the staff enough for what they have done for my mum (and me) over the last few months.

My mum has been a resident at Pennystone Court for just over a year. The only word I can think of is "excellent". The care team and management are sincere carers and are very focused on the well being of the residents in the home. They have guided my mum through the difficult transition of moving to
being a care home. The home is spotless and the catering provides both variety and balanced nutrition. It's clear that the team at Pennystone cares about the dignity of each individual and are constantly adding to the "experience" from the wide range of activities that are provided, and special touches such as baking a birthday cake. And always with humour and patience. Being abroad, it's so reassuring to know you can contact the team and management to get updates etc. The greeting at Pennystone is always warm, which adds to the feeling that this is a family.

I have been very happy with every aspect of Mum's care at Pennystone Court. Mum has mixed dementia and was a resident with Pennystone for three years until her health required nursing care. The building is modern, recently refurbished, and secure. The caring team are professional, respectful, and patient.
The accommodation and public areas are kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. Mum's personal hygiene was well catered for with freshly laundered bedding and clothes. There was an excellent choice of fresh food from the kitchen, a food hygiene rating of 5. The in-house hair and nails salon is excellent. The entertainment and activities are varied inclusive and numerous. A lovely sunny and secure outdoor area is available. I would recommend PSC to any person in need of residential care.

This care home must be the best in the country, the staff from the care workers to the management are top class, and nothing is too much trouble for them, they have helped both my wife and myself through these difficult times.

My Mum has now been a resident at Pennystone Court for six years. Overall that time she has been extremely well cared for and looked after by the wonderful carers who have become like my extended family and to whom I am very grateful. They work very hard over long shifts to keep the residents clean,
tidy, and well-dressed. Medication is strictly monitored and if there is a health problem a doctor or district nurse is called in immediately. All rooms have recently been refurbished and are kept lovely and clean. The home is managed extremely well and excellent meals are served. Activities, church services, and events are arranged. It is a first-class care home run by people who care very much for the residents.

From our initial visit to Pennystone, it was a very easy decision that this was to be our choice of care home. The staff was immediately welcoming, answered all our questions, and professionally assisted the needs of my Father-in-law. The premises are immaculate and the highest standards of cleanliness
and care are maintained with regular checking of all residents, addressing any requests immediately in a friendly professional manner. Activities are in abundance providing stimulus and entertainment with occasional visit 'stars' and even off-site visits when staff give willingly of their days off to help out and ensure the highest level of enjoyment and safety. Pennystone Court is a happy home with a wonderful sense of connectivity. Above all, my Father-in-law is happy here.

Mum has been at Pennystone for 3 months now and has settled so well. She is happy, and entertained with excellent daily activities. Her room is always clean as are all the rooms. I'm more than happy with the support she gets from all the staff. The staff are amazing, helpful, and cheerful. Mum likes
them too. It's made a very difficult decision so much easier for us, knowing she's happy and well looked after. Thank you.

My dad has settled very well here and has benefitted from the excellent care provided at Pennystone Court. He loves how the staff interact with him and the other residents and feels very safe, secure and much happier than in his previous care home. The food and meals are excellent and the garden areas

My wife feels very privileged to be in such lovely surroundings. She has donated to the home for many years and is now enjoying the wonderful facilities here. Mum was admitted to Pennystone Court on the 10th of April 2024. We the family were very apprehensive about if and how she would settle as she was adamant she didn't want to go into a care home. Her admission was carefully planned and supported by the management of the home. Five weeks on and the transition
from home to care home has been incredibly smooth. The family can relax in the knowledge mum is receiving first-rate care. She looks healthier and having regular showers, cleaner. She no longer has to negotiate stairs as she lives on the ground floor. I have visited several times and am very impressed with the quality and care the staff deliver. We are so pleased we chose Pennystone Court and would highly recommend it.

My aunty has been a resident at Pennystone Court for eight years. She receives outstanding care and would not be as happy as she is if she wasn't so well looked after. All staff members are warm, thoughtful and considerate, not only to my aunty but also to her family. Living a distance away, working
and more recently living in/caring for my father, I have been unable to visit as much as I would have liked. It has been one less worry to know my aunty is in the best possible hands. I am very grateful to the activities co-ordinator who keeps me in touch with my aunty via video call and she is kept busy and happy with the many planned activities.

Mother passed away this month. Thank you to all the staff at Pennystone Court for all the love and care that you gave her. We know that Mum felt safe and well looked after at Pennystone. The time we spent at Mum's bedside in her final days really showed us just how hard you all work and how good you
are with the residents. We observed just how skilful, patient and supportive you all are. It's not just the frontline carers but all the admin, kitchen, cleaners, laundry and maintenance people. The chaplain was also very comforting. It's no wonder you deservedly won an award for best dementia home in the UK. Thank you.
