All staff go over and beyond for all residents. Doctors called if needed. The food is excellent. It's clean. Management excellent.

Brilliant home, dad has many needs and the staff are amazing with him, caring, loving and friendly but professional.
Lovely atmosphere and a great environment for everyone
Dad has his own room and likes to sit in the lounge. Also really nice that the staff are locals and know him well.

Our family had a hard decision to make, as our relative has dementia.
We chose Thornhill House as we had already had a resident living there permanently. The care of all the residents is excellent.
All the staff are dedicated, their care for the residents is excellent.

My mum was admitted into this care home and instantly we were made to feel at ease, the staff were brilliant and came across as very kind, caring and knowledgeable. The facilities are amazing and when we were shown around we were given information about everything but didn't feel overwhelmed by it and
that made the process even easier for what was a very hard day for everyone.
We were involved in everything from a cup of tea to doing personal information about our family member and the personal touch went above and beyond. Anything we needed or asked was sorted straight away and we genuinely walked away that day feeling happy with everything and so happy with the staff, we couldn't have wished for a better place and better staff, absolutely amazing.

Mum has been staying at the home for a month. After a difficult time she is so much happier in herself and has put much needed weight on. She is well cared for and loves all of the staff. We are so happy with all the team there and the facilities and activities.

What a wonderful home. The staff are all amazing, it's like one big happy family with lots of love care and fun had by all. I have seen other family members in care homes and whilst they were all great there's just something special about Thornhill House that always puts a smile on your face when you
go. Keep up the good work that you all do. To see the resident I know so happy and safe means the world to me and her family so thank you from the bottom of my heart, you're just lovely.

Mum came into Thornhill in Feb this year.
The staff have been excellent in their care and Mum has enjoyed being here despite her health being a bit up and down.
Lots of activities and much love were shown to residents.
Would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

Both my dad and aunty are residents of Thornhill House. We love how you are made to feel like one big family with all the staff and management. There is always something good one with either a singer or activities. It's just a lovely friendly home and they look after both my dad and aunty just like
their family.

The manager and all his staff put the residents at the centre of everything they do. Whether it is activities, entertainment and care/palliative care. All families are informed of any changes taking place and are always included in everything that is happening. They are truly wonderful human beings.
They face challenges put before them in a professional and caring way.

I cannot even put into words how disgusted I am with this place! Some staff cared others not so much at all. The management is very unprofessional, mum had to be moved to a more suitable placement and when I got there to assist with this, the manager had already placed her outside with my aunty and
a staff member at a table having a cup of tea in her nightwear. I was absolutely disgusted with this, all her things were already packed before I even agreed to move mum. You really need to open your eyes to the meaning of care, compassion and dignity!

Thankyou for your review. Unfortunately the comments are not factual and we had to act in the safety of residents and staff. The manager was actually overseas, on return he helped find a placement at our sister home where the lady settled well. The lady was taken outside with her sister for a cigarette. My Mum was in Thornhill House for 3 years before sadly passing away in July. Mum received excellent care and attention during her time there, nothing was too much trouble for anyone and she was safe and well. The activities for the residents and the entertainment especially when a singer was there Mum
loved, everyone joined in even the staff and management.
The food was lovely and enjoyable. Mum enjoyed having her hair done every Tuesday. So thank you to the manager and all your staff for making Mum's last 3 years happy and enjoyable. Also thank you for the caring service you did when it was Mum's funeral it was very much appreciated.

The care my nan received at Thornhill House was fantastic. the manager and his staff are truly amazing and inspiring people. After my Grandad passed my Nan rapidly went downhill and was very frail and didn't engage much. The change in her once she had moved into Thornhill was unbelievable and I know
she got her spark back. The activities the residents have and opportunities to engage is amazing and every care home should be like this.
Sadly my Nan passed away in July and again the support from staff was fantastic. Christian did a lovely service at Thornhill which was so personal.
A massive thank you for everything!

My mum was in here for 2 years before passing away in May of this year. The staff at Thornhill are the most lovely, caring, enthusiastic people and they are undoubtedly what makes this home what it is. I cannot thank them enough for looking after Mum and making her last 2 years as good as they were.
The activities here were amazing, regular entertainment which Mum loved and loads of participation from the staff.

My dad is a resident of Thornhill House in Darfield and I honestly cannot thank them enough for the care and support they provide my dad. My dad is very settled and a lot calmer thanks to all the staff there. I wanted a care home for him where they actually involved residents with activities and other
things rather than him just spending his days sat in the chair and Thornhill 100% deliver on that. Every week there is something happening in the home whether it be coffee mornings or entertainment. Amazing home. Keep up the good work.

We are so happy with Thornhill House for my mother in law, there is so many activities that take place, and entertainment put on, food lovely for them, staff amazing, managers amazing, one big happy family there, you don't feel like it's staff and residents, you feel like they are family to the staff
