We moved Dad to Rose House towards the end of December and I can honestly say it was the best thing to happen to him of late. The place itself is spotless and so beautifully furnished. There are different areas to go and sit in. Music is on all the time which Dad loves. The staff are just amazing and
cannot do enough. There is entertainment and activities on a daily basis and trips out, dad has just been out bowling which he loved. We love the fact that everyone is made to feel special and deserve more than just being left to sit in a chair all day. His bedroom is beautiful and he has his own shower room with toilet. We are so pleased we moved Dad here and cannot thank the staff enough. Dad is a completely new person now.

What can I say, a beautiful, first class home. I won't say residential because, it is my sister's home. She is very well cared for, the staff are very friendly, conscientious and nothing is too much trouble. Although my sister was quite ill over the Christmas period, they occasionally managed to get
her to join into the wonderful festivities that had been arranged for the residents and visitors, even if only for a short while. My sister's room and ensuite facilities were cleaned, sometimes more than once a day, and bedding changed everyday due to her illness. Due to their care and cleanliness, my sister is now, once again, back to her normal self, and enjoying the indoor activities and outside visits. My own health and well being has never been so good, knowing that my sister at last is getting the care, help and security that she needs. I would recommend, and do recommend, this beautiful home to all my friends, and also those who are looking for a care home for their friends and families.

My brother went in to Rose House in may this year for respite, he loved it that much he wanted to stay. All the staff made him very welcome. There is always things to do and he joins in activities. My brother says it's 1st class and they can't do enough for you. The staff are amazing.

My Dad had a two-week respite stay at Rose House and he was looked after really well. He found all the staff members to be very kind and friendly, everyone treated him with respect and nothing was too much trouble to ensure he had an enjoyable stay.
He came home more mobile because he loved walking
around the home, it is beautifully decorated and furnished with quiet areas and company if he wanted it. I would definitely recommend the care home to anyone looking for a friendly caring home for relatives.

My mother came to Rose House on respite at first but her increasing dementia meant that she became a permanent resident. She has a lovely sunny room with ensuite wet room. Although she is not fully aware, the staff are very caring, take their time with her and really look after her. She is helped with
washing and dressing. She has lost two pairs of glasses, despite thorough staff searches, but she does have a habit of wandering and also putting her stuff in different places.
The care home is light, airy and well maintained. Staff clean rooms every day and wash clothes every day. All staff are friendly, conscientious and very caring towards the residents. Food and drink is very good and both residents and visitors are welcomed very warmly and we are kept informed of my mother's welfare. The well being team should be praised for the activities they do daily with the residents as well as outside visits. We are happy knowing that my mother is well cared for, safe and secure

My mum stayed in Rose House for 2 weeks of respite care.
The staff were very kind, caring people and the facilities were exceptional but unfortunately, her medical requirements were not observed closely enough, instructions provided regarding her medication were ignored and her physical and mental
health declined significantly during her stay.
Therefore I cannot recommend this home for people with complex health issues or those needing nursing support. It is more suitable for those who are able to move around independently and are better aware of their personal needs such as toileting and water intake.
Unfortunately, my mum was not encouraged to drink enough water leading to chronic dehydration, confusion, and illness.
She also complained that the meals provided were of poor quality.
I also noted that staff levels at the weekend were dramatically less than during the week which was very concerning.

The home is like a hotel. My father is very well cared for. His health and general well-being has improved since moving into this care home. Although he has dementia and can have difficult days, the staff make sure he has his meals, is clean, and mentally settled. Thank you.

My Mother-in-law had a 2-week respite at Rose House. Her stay there was amazing from the very beginning. She was made to feel extremely welcome and at home. I had a knee operation. I live on my own so Rose House was ideal for me. I thought everyone was so helpful (couldn't do enough for me) and all lovely and caring. My knee is still needing help and if it's bad for me I could always go back to Rose House. They are wonderful.

My Aunt has stayed at Rose House for a 3-week respite break and it is the best I have seen her in a long time. I have already booked her in for another stay.

Before I retired my job took me to many care homes. So having experienced care homes in the past I find Rose House and all of its staff one of the best.
The facilities are excellent, clean and well-kept. The staff at all levels are professional and very helpful, and nothing appears too much trouble.

Tracey Reynolds

Job Title: Home Manager

I started my career as a night care assistant in 2003 while my children were young. In 2011, I returned to a Nursing home and I have been fortunate in my career as I have had some fabulous Managers who have supported me to improve my skills and gain my qualifications, I then moved to a Residential care home where I could focus on medications and take on a more supervisory role.


I continued to improve my skills and moved onto Senior, Unit manager, Deputy roles before being offered my first Home Manager position in 2015. In 2018, I took on a regional role which I did until 2022. I have spent time Managing, commissioning new homes and improving my skills as I continue to be mentored by great people, supporting me through my learning with all NVQ qualifications and eventually completing my L6 degree course.


I work in this role to ensure quality, person centred care are the main focus, whilst enjoying the company of our residents and making their quality of life the very best it can be.

Jo Unwin

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2014

I started my career in care; however, I have nursing experience also and moved into a care team leader role, which I held for 5 years before being supported by some fabulous members of management who have helped me in developing my skills and experience, which took me into a Deputy Manager role. I have now been a Deputy Manager in residential care for the past 10 years and am very passionate about my role. I continue to develop my experience and skills and am currently completing a diploma level with the aim of progressing my career in the future and managing a care home of my own.


I take huge pride in ensuring person-centred care for all residents and supporting the care team in rolling that care out across the home.

Job Title: Home Administrator

Joined: 2012

I started my career working for Nottinghamshire County Council as an administrator in 1980, working in a day centre for people with physical disabilities and then transferring to a care home. I transferred to Runwood Homes in 2012 as an Administrator working in three Runwood Homes prior to Rose House. I was promoted to regional administrator covering Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, and Doncaster and assisted with the transition when Warwickshire and Doncaster transferred to Runwood Homes. I also assist and work with existing and new administrators within our company, covering inductions and training in their new role, and support wherever requested, or the need arises.


My role within the home is to ensure that our finances are kept up to date and liaise with families and the local council, ensuring that recruitment from interview to employment is completed and ensuring that all safeguarding measures are in place.


I believe that families are extremely important, and I personally love meeting people and getting to know new residents and families; I love listening to residents and getting to know their life history.


I enjoy working within a care home setting, ensuring that our residents receive the care and love they deserve

Job Title: Receptionist

Joined: 2023

My career in administration has touched various departments and industries over the past 22 years, having supported company directors in a personal assistant role and worked in human resources. I have experience in supporting different areas of a business and am able to transfer that experience into my role at Rose House and support all areas of the home as required.


I started working for Runwood Homes in August 2023 for one of our sister homes, Liberty House and moved over to Rose House as part of the commissioning team when Rose House first opened. I really enjoy my role working as a Receptionist and supporting the families and residents in any way that I can.

Gareth Hughes

Job Title: Maintenance

Joined: 2024

I’m Gareth. I'm passionate about my role as a Maintenance Operative because no two days are ever the same, and I absolutely love connecting with our residents. My work is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to make a real difference every day.


I hold HGV 1 and 2 licenses, a Level 2 qualification in Animal Care, and a BTEC Entry Level certificate in Construction. I’m also proud to support our home—one highlight was participating in a charity event where I had my legs waxed to raise funds for the residents’ fund!


Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, off-roading, camping, and spending time with my trusty Land Rover.


Adventure and exploration are my way of life, and I bring that same energy and dedication to everything I do.
