Job Title: Home Manager
I started my career as a night care assistant in 2003 while my children were young. In 2011, I returned to a Nursing home and I have been fortunate in my career as I have had some fabulous Managers who have supported me to improve my skills and gain my qualifications, I then moved to a Residential care home where I could focus on medications and take on a more supervisory role.
I continued to improve my skills and moved onto Senior, Unit manager, Deputy roles before being offered my first Home Manager position in 2015. In 2018, I took on a regional role which I did until 2022. I have spent time Managing, commissioning new homes and improving my skills as I continue to be mentored by great people, supporting me through my learning with all NVQ qualifications and eventually completing my L6 degree course.
I work in this role to ensure quality, person centred care are the main focus, whilst enjoying the company of our residents and making their quality of life the very best it can be.
Job Title: Deputy Manager

I started my career in care; however, I have nursing experience also and moved into a care team leader role, which I held for 5 years before being supported by some fabulous members of management who have helped me in developing my skills and experience, which took me into a Deputy Manager role. I have now been a Deputy Manager in residential care for the past 10 years and am very passionate about my role. I continue to develop my experience and skills and am currently completing a diploma level with the aim of progressing my career in the future and managing a care home of my own.
I take huge pride in ensuring person-centred care for all residents and supporting the care team in rolling that care out across the home.
Job Title: Home Administrator

I started my career working for Nottinghamshire County Council as an administrator in 1980, working in a day centre for people with physical disabilities and then transferring to a care home. I transferred to Runwood Homes in 2012 as an Administrator working in three Runwood Homes prior to Rose House. I was promoted to regional administrator covering Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, and Doncaster and assisted with the transition when Warwickshire and Doncaster transferred to Runwood Homes. I also assist and work with existing and new administrators within our company, covering inductions and training in their new role, and support wherever requested, or the need arises.
My role within the home is to ensure that our finances are kept up to date and liaise with families and the local council, ensuring that recruitment from interview to employment is completed and ensuring that all safeguarding measures are in place.
I believe that families are extremely important, and I personally love meeting people and getting to know new residents and families; I love listening to residents and getting to know their life history.
I enjoy working within a care home setting, ensuring that our residents receive the care and love they deserve
Job Title: Receptionist

My career in administration has touched various departments and industries over the past 22 years, having supported company directors in a personal assistant role and worked in human resources. I have experience in supporting different areas of a business and am able to transfer that experience into my role at Rose House and support all areas of the home as required.
I started working for Runwood Homes in August 2023 for one of our sister homes, Liberty House and moved over to Rose House as part of the commissioning team when Rose House first opened. I really enjoy my role working as a Receptionist and supporting the families and residents in any way that I can.

I’m Gareth. I'm passionate about my role as a Maintenance Operative because no two days are ever the same, and I absolutely love connecting with our residents. My work is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to make a real difference every day.
I hold HGV 1 and 2 licenses, a Level 2 qualification in Animal Care, and a BTEC Entry Level certificate in Construction. I’m also proud to support our home—one highlight was participating in a charity event where I had my legs waxed to raise funds for the residents’ fund!
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, off-roading, camping, and spending time with my trusty Land Rover.
Adventure and exploration are my way of life, and I bring that same energy and dedication to everything I do.
